@JohnD...I have a waiting list for artists...it all depends when we have available space...but I think fans/collectors would approve!
Wayne E

I've missed out on many pieces but it's still a good system.
Jeremy Moore
3:05
Great point, Olivia. I have definitely window shopped after missing a drop.
Morgan H
3:05
@Olivia you hit the nail on the head re: auctions
matt D
3:05
I think the thing about the AKria drop is that there are so many pages and it takes time to pick the page you want and by that time it is gone.
Casey A
3:05
I’d love an occasional surprise drop, personally
jw
3:05
I'd rather know the time for sure.
JohnD
3:05
I like being notified @felix- gets me excited to know what’s headed our way, as the consumers
Mike Cichy
3:05
i would prefer to know the drop time.
Francis F
3:05
I thought i was pretty damn fast at selecting and filling out the form and submitting, but I still couldn't land an Akira page. Same for Paul Pope. Guess my only chance is to hope for a sketch commission.
matt D
3:05
Know the time imo. Paul SMith does random drops and it is impossible to get a pice.
thomas B
3:05
A surprise drop here and there would be a good way to keep things open & interesting IMO.
Ron Lim
3:05
@felix Mix it up. Announce some, surprise drop others.
Michael Perlman
3:05
@felix I prefer knowing the time. At least then I can try and be at the site.
Jeremy Moore
3:05
I rather know a time. Selfishly, I can only check the site at a particular time of the day. I can’t F5 while teaching 😅
Olivia M.
3:05
I prefer knowing the time, but I think a surprise is interesting too!
Reba
3:06
Interesting idea Felix. The only guarantee is you'll have complainers no matter what! I don't mind the idea of mixing it up with suprise random drops. I'm entirely sure to miss some but might be lucky on others!
Ron Lim
3:06
@Felix At least vary the time. 9am PST could be an issue for some people.
Josh Hall
3:06
I'm torn for sure
Felix Lu
3:06
Thanks for the feedback, everyone!
Eric S
3:06
Knowing the time for sure. The current system isn’t perfect, but no system is. I think it’s the most fair.
Casey A
3:07
I think having some be surprises just further democratized who’s able to pick up a piece. Folks who consistently don’t win in the same format might win in a more random format that’s mixed in.
matt D
3:07
Will there be more Akira epic covers coming to market?
Felix Lu
3:07
@MattD...not sure, but don't think so...
@MattD...Steve gifted/sold those for the most part, already...

I’ve been collecting comic art for a long time. I would like to know from the people who whine about missing out on art on Felix’s drop what freaking site do they buy from where they always get the piece they want.
JohnD
3:08
@everyone- not to take away from this site but does anyone else suggest some other awesome auction sites for comic art? Only other place I can think of is essential sequential.
Joao Antunes
3:08
Every artworks drop I've missed were just by my fault of not being quick enough or worse, forgeting of the drop (because of work normally), but that's completely fair and no complaints at all, I guide by the principle of it didin't happen it just wasn't ment to be.
jw
3:08
I understand why all of the angry people who missed out are frustrating/annoying, but I think it's probably to be expected when people are used to e-commerce systems that remove items from inventory as soon as they've been purchased.

Lots of people are on edge because of the pandemic too. Which isn't an excuse, but something to consider.
Felix Lu
3:10
@JW...I get that. But the site works how it works. If it becomes the source of too much consternation, then move on. IMO. I always figured that's how it would be sorted out...those who couldn't tolerate it would just make it easier for those who could...
Malvin
3:10
@John, auction sites? Essential Sequential is a deader. comicart tracker is best, lists everything
Reba
3:10
Agree with some of the others here - missing out on a drop often leads to heading off to look at other things on the site...for good or ill. Lol
Lambo
3:10
@johnd I was not aware essential sequential is an auction site.
Rlex
3:10
I've missed  on Felix's drops and I've scored on Felix's drops and I'll say this: I'd rather have a fair chance than be outbid by people with deeper pockets.
Olivia M.
3:10
The only thing difficult about a drop is that I feel a bit silly just quickly putting a page in my cart that I seem to like, rather than slowly considering what page I would really cherish - part of the process though!
Malvin
3:10
anyone after anything on clink tomorrow?
@lamb!!
JaaonK
3:10
Hey!
James
3:10
Any news on when james will open up commissions? Bigger pieces?
Felix Lu
3:11
@James...probably not happening in 2021. Still needs to finish 2020 list, and is otherwise quite busy with ULTRAMEGA...
