ok, son finally is willing to go out and enjoy the sunshine, nice chatting everyone!
Reba

@jasonK I thought you might be a good candidate for a dramatic reveal of that one in your gallery!
Josh Hall
3:48
@Felix, regrettably did not have the funds at that time.

Might be the only chance online ever to get a Noto from the gallery (as it was online due to COVID)

Regarding art on the site that is sold... it makes it slightly difficult to ā€œbrowseā€ for pieces to purchase.
Felix Lu
3:49
@Sean...Bill is installing a filter soon...was going to happen earlier, but he got swamped...was able to do it for Albert, though. Albert is platinum, I'm cardboard...
JasonK
3:49
@lambo yeah. Both ridiculous
Andy R
3:49
@ron - and it makes people picture a price they would have paid :)
Ron Lim
3:49
Thanks @felix
Josh Hall

@Felix, I own some pitarra originals but priority right now is DWJ. Preferably a Star Wars piece or commission for something I don't want to say publicly for fear someone else would request it lol

@ronlim someone not getting anything in the drop should take a screenshot as soon as the art is posted to preserve the original listed prices.
Felix Lu
3:49
@guest...please login in with name!
Reba

A lot of sold pieces are still listed with their prices on CAF
Felix Lu

ULTRAMEGA #2 is 44 pages plus cover, so more chances! Can't preview them all, but you should all have an idea now, at least!
Ron Lim
3:51
My comment on prices disappearing after sales is really for all dealers, but I guess Bill made most of them, so it makes sense that they all exhibit the same behavior.
Captain Generica
3:51
why don’t you just have a shopping cart feature so whoever pays for the artwork first gets the art and then it shows sold out?
Felix Lu
3:52
That's not foolproof, either. Especially when demand is heavy. Experimented with a Big Cartel-type system, and it just crashed.
Joao Antunes
3:52
The Akira Ian Bertram is mind blowing! The new owner must be very happy and very proud of his/her new artwork.
Michael
3:53
@Captain Generica - the right question is two-fold. 1. Does Bill offer a cart system (as you suggest) for Inventory: 1 items? If yes, then 2. Does Felix want that?
Felix Lu
3:53
@Michael...speaking from experience, I've "bought" art from other drops via shopping cart...only to be told later that there were duplicate orders and have my payment refunded...so again, nothing is perfect.
Casey A
3:53
I’ve learned more about internet point of sale systems than I ever cared to know from this hobby
Morgan H
3:55
I took part in a high traffic non-art drop on Friday... so much traffic that I couldn’t add the item to cart for the first 30 mins, forcing me to keep trying. At least with Felix I can make my request and go about my day while I wait to hear back.
Felix Lu
3:56
@Morgan...yup. Have just given up on certain sneaker drops and go straight to StockX now...
TJ
3:56
Checking in after catching up.Ā Ā I would like to also chime in on knowing a time for a drop, I like to know.Ā Ā I work wonky hours and knowing let’s me plan.Ā Ā Though, maybe drops that aren’t blasted on socials and only the newsletter shortly before the drop would be okay.Ā Ā I get, from your perspective, why you post on socials though.
Jeremy Moore
3:56
I have to head out. Have a marvelous week everyone and may the next art drop be in your favor... unless we’re going after the same page šŸ˜…
Andy R
3:56
But only if the service provider feels it’s an important enough issue
Lambo
3:56
I don’t do sneakers but I hear those drops are absolutely carnage.
Andy R
3:57
@felix - that’s not an accurate portrait of the situation - things are as foolproof as the developers choose to make them.Ā Ā Any known bug/issue can be addressed
Michael
3:57
Repeating myself now but: TIMED LOTTERY solves every problem I've seen here except a second layer of work for Felix to run the inside lotteries. That's some work for drops of many items.
Rick Yankosky
3:58
@morgan h Good point!Ā Ā I’m usually @ work when art drops.
Ron Lim
3:58
@Lambo, I used to do the Mondo poster drops and those were brutal too.
Casey A
3:58
I can’t fathom the competition for sneakers. Reading people’s twitter feedback from SNKRS is... not fun
Felix Lu
3:59
If Adidas/Nike/Reebok (only for the ALIENS releases, don't make fun) haven't been able to fix, then I don't think Bill can. I do feel like I'm potentially trading one set of problems for another. Better the devil you know...for now, at least.
Ron Lim
3:59
Big Wow just did a small lottery for Cho's drop this morning.
Rick Yankosky

Family AFV time here.Ā Ā Take care, all.
Felix Lu
4:00
@Ron...did you get anything?
Ron Lim
4:00
Nah, wasn't trying.
Felix Lu
4:01
@Ron...I remember 15 years ago when supply of Cho was TIGHT...collectors would be fighting over any little scrap...
In terms of supply, it's a total 180 these days.
