Would it be cool to see dealer's walls in a more duynamic way than static pagees/listings?
Rob Rusch
12:42
I honestly think it's a given eventually, it just takes time to develop the tech, logistics, and process and for people to get comfortable with it
Andy Robbins
12:42
It would have to be some technology that could not be replicated all day every day on sites
Mark Tomlinson

The problem I see with the VCC is that so many people are afraid to price their art anymore. They're afraid of underselling, so they take it to auction despite the fees. This will cause them to either overprice their art or hold it back all together.
@Matt...You too.
Rob Rusch
12:43
@Andy you can arguably do that now with facetime, other camera chat features
Andy Robbins
12:43
One of the item's on my todo explore list is amazon's AWS virtual reality offering

@Lambo, the caveat is the resolution of the file.

As Jim Reid said over a decade ago, "Comic art, the hobby where there are no prices"
Morgan
12:44
@Andy having seen a lot of dealers websites, it might be asking too much to have them do anything too technologically advanced.
Guest
12:44
@Morgan, ahh. Well, that's just horrible customer service.
Lambo
12:44

Rudra

Andy Robbins

Felix Lu
12:45
@Andy...I once was in a restroom at SDCC...where an artist walked out of a stall...and didn't bother to wash his hands...I had been thinking about getting a piece from him before that.
Nathan Miloslawsky

Late to the party!
Felix Lu
12:46
Hey @jason!
Joao Antunes
12:46
@ Sean - regarding framing my advice is just a bit of caution not to fill all the walls at once, I have the room I'm allowed to have originals on the wall completely filled (and about more 10 frames pilled up) because I wanted to have it right away, that was more than 10 years ago now I have a lot of artworks I love much more than many I have on the walls but just can't keep pilling up frames so they stay in portfolios instead of the wall...one day I might change them but it's not any time soon for sure.
Nathan Miloslawsky
12:47
@Lambo "Collector's Proofs", ahahahahahah!
Rob Rusch
12:47
Hey Jason!
Andy Robbins
12:47
I was thinking Tony Salmons but didn't want to besmirch his name
Felix Lu
12:47
@Andy...that's another story (from the same show!)
Jason K
12:48
Hi rob!
Rudra
12:48
@felix, if you had gotten the piece from that artist, it would have been his blood, sweat and ________ on the page. Even better, no? ;-p
Andy Robbins
12:50
@Joao - I built a couple display boards for that very reason.  They hold 5-6 pages each, and I swap out things all the time
Rob Rusch
12:50
How've things been Jason?
Lambo
12:51
@andy if tony salmons, it would have to be a really old story since i met tony almost 17 years ago and even then he was long divorced. in fact, not sure if he was ever officially married.
Jason K
12:51
@joao that sounds like great advice!
