Hey DWJ how far ahead do you plan your projects? Even though you're in the thick of BRB, do you know what you're going to do next?
Daniel Warren Johnson
7:16
@Bruce Lai it depends, usually I try to have two or three irons in the fire as I begin to think about my next steps.  Sometimes things come to fuitition and sometimes they die on the vine, either because the ideas just arrents working or because of stuff outside of my control.  And, I DO know my next project.  7 issues, at image central. stay tuned!

Timmy L.
7:18
@DWJ does being a dad give you better perspective doing what you do?
Daniel Warren Johnson
7:18
@Timmy L great Q.  Mostly its just hard to finish my pages when I hve to get on dad duty at 5:30, ha!  But Fiona (my 3 year old) has already been a great fire under my butt and has helped me finish projects and get my ass off the couch and into the drawing chair.  She inspires me in a lot of ways, and I'm actually working on an epic sci fi story slowly that is fueled by me reflecting on the passing of time, especially as I watch her get older.  Crazy!
Andy R

@jason wood - how did the Scotty one come about?  commish?

@guest 1 you’d be surprised, the income range is very wide and we are all having fun. I’ve seen some amazing absolutely stellar collections built on a tight budget and some lousy collections built with a ton of money. Regardless of taste every buyer probably loves what they buy, $200 panel page, $20 con sketch or $20,000 cover. This hobby is so much fun and comic art is amazing. Maybe it is also enforced savings. What is your name and income and why don’t you understand why we love this?
Jason Wood
7:18
@pat L, most of my pieces are in Itoyas inside storage drawers. Wife lets me hang comic art in our downstairs so the walls there are a gallery. But first and second floors were off limits to comic art until I found the Moby loophole. We have other fine artists upstairs though. Art all over our walls, which I love. O'Keefe. Ortenstone. A few others.

@andy r -- Skottie won was serendipitous. He drew it. I bought it. LOL.

I still need to land my first published DWJ piece and my commission is AMAZING, but here's my favorite drop piece I snagged.
