Felix, One of things that most impressed me in listening to the podcast was just how knowledgeable you had to become about the medical side of things to care for your wife.  I’ve already got a medical degree, but I still learned a ton, especially about HAI.  How much was misinformation on the web a problem for you?

Ben...not much, actually. Primarily focused on peer-reviewed ASCO papers. But also came to see that motivated patients/caregivers could be crucial source of information. And then vet from there.

And truthfully...that was maybe 10% of what we went through. Had to learn/study so much about various treatments, biomarkers, clinical trials, et al.

Good to hear.  I always worry that patients will latch on to miracle treatments in desperation without actually educating themselves.  It sounds like you did your due diligence and looked in the right places.

There are no miracles. And there's no "cure" reserved for elites (would see this a lot). If that was the case, Steve Jobs would still be hawking iPhones.

@jason, yeah. I was also thinking of the semi splash of swamp thing and Batman in one of the panels that went on eBay for 15k a few months ago. But I had thought that was the Batman factor. Guess I was wrong.
