I'm just greedy and wish I had picked up more before we all got recalibrated re OA prices over the past couple years. If I could go back in time (stop me if you've heard this one before...)

Everyone once in a while DWJ will sell something from his personal collection on Instagram. I don’t even collect action figures anymore, but I bought a TMNt action figure from him and asked him to sign it “Owned by Daniel Warren Johnson”. Which he did because he’s super awesome.

@felix regarding nostalgia, the fact that OA values have risen so far so fast over the past couple years has in a way shortened the time for nostalgia to kick in for me. 2 years ago is a distant era...

@mike...I guess nostalgia can mean something different for everyone...for me, true nostalgia was what I loved as a kid...everything I consumed in my 20s and 30s, for example, was just so much disposable content...so if I want something from then, it's for another reason, not nostalgia

@Keith, Absolutely… I have been trying to keep up LOL but of course as I’m sure you understand I don’t wanna buy just any piece particularly… It’s got a résumé, got to be something I’m a fan of, etc. That spark, you know :-)

I find it hard to imagine being an artist and not collecting art, but maybe doing it as a job taints it for some people. I have a friend who was a 2d animator at Disney and he only collected american illustration art but wasn't interested in having animation art

@Josh Hall, completely agree. Ebay and Comiclink is wehre i see the most Extremity, and more importantly murder falcon pages pop up
