@artless I have a feeling financial institutions have entered the art game. I speculated that some were behind the parabolic rise we've seen in comic prices, and I think the Blackstone/ CGC news may be confirmation of this.

@Felix didn't think of this until just now. But does James Harren do a lot of pasteovers? When I received my page from Ultramega #2 I was very pleasantly surprised to discover there was a hidden alt panel underneath

@Glen I work in that industry and fairly certain that's not the case. The CGC acquisition by Blackstone is fascinating though. Could turn some money toward the industry, but more likely a one-off

@Felix ha that's awesome! Goes to show how much he thinks about the storytelling. I really both panels so it was really cool to see the decision-making. Not sure if there's a way to showcase that kind of stuff but would be really cool to see more of in the future!

@TimJ, yeah I couldn't help myself and gently peeled it off and then put it back on. Was almost debating framing it with the original underneath, but I didn't want to risk separating or losing the top panel, plus that's how James intended it so I left it on. They're both gorgeous! Luckily, I have acid-free matting tape at home, so I can re-attach with that if the stickiness wears off.
