@Joe L... love that play on a WW2 poster with Harley and Poison Ivy!

Problem with good modern art is that it isn't all linked to good modern stories that will resonate with the next batch of 40-somethings that might want to scratch a nostalgia itch :)

@stefano...forget nostalgia. I believe that's going to matter less. What will matter more is the craft. Put it this way...there is zero nostalgia for a Chris Ware (as an example). But there is true appreciation for his work.

@Felix for some reason I just assumed they were all sold complete. I’m sure James could have easily sold them compete. Very nice of him to break up the issues for us low level collectors.

@Joe...we always try to strike a balance...we always try to have pages available for everyone...hope people remember that!

@Joe L I'll be sure to post it on CAF once in hand - I've been bugging Amy for this cover for well over 5 years

@stefanomjr it sure is!

@Mike... man... that was quite a life choice! lol

@Keith Thank you. I love Rebekah’s style. I also love Harley & Ivy, and WW II history, and just felt she would be perfect artist to bring it all together.

@felix Kudos to any man who values his child's image over a Frazetta drawing, but what you say makes poignant sense...
Felix Lu

@artess...I was kidding! (I hope!)

@Felix I just bought my first Ware in the last Heritage. Not in hand yet.
Felix Lu

@Ron...ooooh!! Share!!!

@Felix - good point. And less and less of what is modern is traditional

I happily bought  that one Humble Budget page from Ultramega 2 and boy, I love it so so much.  Winning lotto ticket for sure.
Felix Lu
2:08
@hunter...congrats!! Have heard there are people already making offers for the pages that are out there...

I hope Harren has multiple Ultramega sketches available on the sketch drop. I've missed out on the interior pages so far.
Felix Lu
2:08
@Joe...I'll save the suspense: There's just the one. Special for the event!
Keith Becker

@Joe L, yup! it was done very well! and well chosen. I dig it :D

Felix Lu

@Will...haha!
A Ryan Sook Batman...just for the sketch drop!!

So much of the Felix crew is selling stuff complete - the supply isn't there to keep up with the demand. I loved that DWJ Superman short story that was shared in chat. The only time i thought of asking to buy a complete story
Felix Lu

@stefano...the 8-pagers are pretty much all going complete...which, as a collector, I'm glad they're kept complete...

@Felix.  I'm not surprised.  Especially since it sounds like thats it for UM until next year.

@stefanomjr there are soooo many great stories being written right now. The last 12 months alone have been insane! Plus it seems that many comics are being written with the intent of being turned into multimedia properties. I'm sure this has some impact on the future market as it will introduce more people to these stories.

@Felix, I better get a faster internet connection!

That DWJ superman story was beautiful

@felix @stefano  I agree with Doc Dave that one should buy based on quality, not nostalgia, but I question whether there aren't people with nostalgia for Ware, for instance.  I feel that I buy almost strictly for quality of the story and/or art, but I can't deny that some of the art I think is best, was some of the first stuff I imprinted on in my formative years.  My interest in very recent art gives me hope my taste is determined mostly by quality, though!
Felix Lu

@Artless...no kid ever read Ware. The reasons it's sought-after have almost nothing to do with nostalgia. At least not in the traditional sense in our hobby.
Joe A

@Felix, did Harren's Batman B&W story sell complete?
Felix Lu
2:12
@Joe...no, but also not for sale!

Congrats @ron

@JoeL that Isaacs piece is amazing

That Ware page is amazing, Ron.

@Stefanomjr We don’t know what stories will be nostalgic 20 years from now, but some will, without a doubt. My advice would be to just pursue the art you love. Don’t try to chase what future generations will like. No one in 2002 thought 90’s art would ever have value. Now people are dropping big bucks on silly Rob Liefeld splash pages.
Josh Hall
2:12
@Felix - would ever permit say a co-op or whatever you’d call it where a few people pull their money and buy an issue complete so they can divide between them and then offer the others to other collectors? If so, please hit me up ya’ll if interested!
