Both beautiful pieces, but the importance of that Transformers cover is immense. Who knew a 4-issue comic series and extended cartoon toy ad and kids toys would have such staying power. :D

Compared to when you started collecting OA, Marcus, how has the way you choose the pieces you buy changed?

I'm a bit confused by the way most collectors seem to buy. I can't think of another type of original art where someone might not love the piece, but still buy it based on a potential investment and/or a thin connection to something that they DO love. Longwinded. Sorry. :)

@JW I would buy lower end stuff just for fun now and higher end pieces take more thought and homework.  Before it was more about discovery of the pieces, now it's about affording them

I'm always surprised by how amiable Albert is on the phone. Then again, I'm always discussing how to get him money on thse calls. lol

The best compliment I ever got from Albert was when I sold a cheap piece on ebay that started at $9.99 and it went for $50, and he said the artist on the piece contacted him to thank him for the writeup.
