Liked it for both teams. Dodgers needed to move Busch at some point. The Cubs had more of an opportunity in at the bat-first positions and the Dodgers got a pair of upside plays for a very good player development program

Why the long wait on Bellinger? Was anyone holding up his market or are interested teams waiting for the price to drop? What’s he looking at a month out from spring training and does he get it?
Anthony Franco
4:28
There's a common thread for most of the top players still available, Bellinger included. They're repped by Scott Boras, who has more of an appetite than most agents to wait things out for the price his guys want.
4:29
This is true of Monty, Snell, Chapman, Hoskins, etc. Their markets are being held up by themselves, basically
4:30
It works for them more often than not, but it's not universal. Sometimes they overplay their hand and end up holding the bag (i.e. Jurickson Profar)
4:31
I don't think that'll be the case with Bellinger necessarily. He's certainly not taking one year. At worst, he ends up doing something like Correa did the first time where he took a high-AAV over three with an opt-out after one
Have to wrap this up soon but I'll try to hit a few more quickly

Who do u view as the favorite for the highly competitive AL West

Sticking with Houston

Which baseball team do you view as a role model for other teams on how to build a franchise and contain long term success?
Anthony Franco
4:33
Dodgers have the best combo of willingness to spend and strong player development. More teams would love to follow the Atlanta model of extending 90% of their good players for below-market money, but I'm not sure if that's even possible to replicate
Eloy

Will/should Eloy Jimenez get traded this offseason?  Or are the White Sox better off hoping he can rebuild some value before moving him at the deadline?  Haven't heard his name much at all in any rumors.
Anthony Franco
4:34
I don't think there's much value there. Probably best to hold until the deadline. If he hits well in the first half, he's easier to shop in a trade market that should be light on bats again

Who will be the best player in MLB five years from now?
Anthony Franco
4:35
That's a really good one. I'd probably go Acuna but you could sell me on Rutschman, Carroll, Soto or it still being Ohtani

who you got in the NLC as of right now?
Anthony Franco
4:36
We'll see how the rest of the offseason goes but I'm coming around on the Reds there

Will the Rays have to pay Wander Franco even if he never plays again?
Anthony Franco
4:38
It'd be a drawn-out process but the Rays would have to try to void the contract if it gets to that point
Alright I have to finish up here
Sorry if I didn't get to yours. As always, I'm happy to take questions on X if you want to throw anything else at me
