What does the Brewers OF look like in 2024?
Anthony Franco
4:55
Should start with Yelich, Mitchell, Frelick with Chourio a possibility in the second or third month
4:56
I'd move Tyrone Taylor for what I could get this winter and try to shop Joey Wiemer around for pitching or middle infield help

People criticising the Moreno trade for Toronto are paying far too little attention to how much Kirk regressed. What Moreno has done in the second half and the post-season is what the Jays clearly expected from Kirk.
Anthony Franco
4:57
Kirk's disappointing season factors in, but I think it's fair to say that if the Jays were to trade Moreno last offseason, Varsho shouldn't have been the target
I liked it more for Arizona at the time but didn't think it was a disaster for the Jays. Varsho regressed harder than I anticipated offensively

Odds that the Mariners are open to trading Woo or Miler? Brendan Donovan for Miller straight up?

Who are some realistic 2B options that Seattle could target via trade this offseason? Polanco with Minnesota and Donovan with St. Louis are two that immediately come to mind.
Anthony Franco
4:58
Polanco and Donovan could be targets, sure. Gleyber Torres and Brandon Drury could go, maybe Vaughn Grissom

Fraley and Siani to Cleveland and Bieber to the Reds. Would Cleveland accept?
Anthony Franco

Guardians should do better than that

Will the Rays trade Arozarina, and would it take? MLB ready pitching or prospects?
Anthony Franco
5:00
Some combination of the two but I can't imagine the Rays trade Randy for a prospect package alone. Has to be at least one notable controllable starting pitcher in that deal
I'd guess the chances he gets traded at all are like 20%

Any thoughts on the general direction the Mets are going to go?  Will Alonso and McNeil be traded this offseason?
Anthony Franco

Feels like more of a deadline possibility if they underperform again. It doesn't seem like they want to tank the season before it begins, more so that they're priming fans not to expect them to try to spend out of it this winter

hey, Anthony.  Thanks again for this.  Just a guess on my part, but I'll bet that time of game started creeping up again during the second half of the season.  Am I right??
Anthony Franco

Hmm, not sure offhand where to find average game time broken up by month. According to Baseball Reference, the season average was two hours, 39 minutes for nine-inning games
Off the top of my head, I think the early-season number that the league was pushing was like two hours and 36 minutes
5:05
So I'd guess you're right that the game times were up a bit as the season went along, but they're still markedly faster than in previous seasons and that's probably to be expected because warmer weather means more favorable hitting conditions
And higher-scoring games are obviously going to take longer than pitching duels
5:06
Alright we'll wrap it up here
Thanks for all the questions and, of course, for your support of the site! Always a good time doing these
