Leaves open the possibility of pushing near the third CBT marker if they're in position to buy at the deadline without committing ownership to it over the winter
Cody Bellinger
4:55
Bellinger seems like a great fit for the Phillies as he could rotate between 1B and OF like he did for the Cubs this year - providing great defense in both spots. The Phillies could then flip Nick Castellanos for pitching. What do you think?
Anthony Franco
4:56
Given the defensive questions, I don't think Castellanos has the trade value at three more years and $20MM per to bring back a rotation piece
4:57
Maybe they can offload some of the Castellanos money to create breathing room for a lower-tier free agent starter while adding Bellinger, but other teams have a more direct need for outfield help than Philadelphia. Not impossible, feels unlikely though
Willy Adames

How about Adames to LAD for Michael Busch? What else would LAD have to include to get a package of Adames and Burnes?

Busch is such a tough guy to value. No real defensive fit, about to turn 26. He destroys minor league pitching but hasn't had a chance to show he can hit big league arms. Not an unreasonable proposal for one year of Adames, but I wonder if Milwaukee would find him a little redundant when one of their own top prospects, Tyler Black, is younger and has a similar profile
Alright, as mentioned up top, I have to wrap things here

Sorry if I didn't get to your question. If you want to throw it at me on Twitter, I'll try to get back to you this weekend

Big few days coming up for us. Bunch of option decisions throughout the weekend, Top 50 on Monday, believe we'll get Tim on the Tuesday podcast to go through some of our deliberation on that as well
Thanks for hanging out and, as always, for supporting the site! Have a great weekend!
