Makes sense to start the process next year once the CBA's in place, hopefully have the teams ready by 2032-33
Realignment at that point makes sense. Going to need divisional realignment anyway (eight divisions of four in the NFL mold) and there's no functional difference between the leagues anymore

They'll want to preserve a lot of the rivalries but it presents an opportunity to more tightly align geographically and reduce travel

Just don't really see the point. They're going to need to pay him either way and he can still hit

Can't rely on him but I'd keep him on the 40-man over the offseason and treat it as found money if he's healthy next year at any point. If not, he's not burning an in-season roster spot on the injured list

I have a question on Andrew Fischer and his record year but I get that may not be interesting to the broader community. Would you guys ever do periodical prospect chats for us prospect nerds out there like you do with fantasy chats?

It's more so that the prospect stuff is a little out of our wheelhouse. Certainly intrigued by a 22-year-old with 47 homers this season but I haven't seen Fischer play or talked to any scouts about whether his level of swing-and-miss is going to be viable against MLB pitching

Baseball America or Eric Longenhagen at FanGraphs do prospect-specific chats and are much better at those than we would be at MLBTR
