You kidding...that's all the national media wants to talk about

you can’t count on Burrow and Watson hurt again. And with a tough slate next year with the NFC East and AFC West, MT’s streak ends. Yes?
Gerry Dulac
10:55
No, not according to recent history, which isn't exactly a small sample, not unless you think 17 years is a small sample size

If ‘scared money don’t make money’, this team is the equivalent of my grandma stuffing money under the mattress. Do you think this conservative, risk-adverse approach that values consistency (ie mediocrity) above all else is coming more from Rooney or Tomlin.

Just like with winning, it takes everybody.

Gerry we are living in the world of Steelers insanity.  Doing same things year after year and same result.    Coach T will speak tomorrow and tell us how we came up short and only 1 team walks w Lombardi.      2 weeks from now Art will tell us we were in tournament and had a chance.   It’s old and stale.    Ar2 is no Dan.    How can GM Gerry fix this?????

A decision has to be made if they think the Steelers are close to being a SB contender. If they do, then one or two major additions have to be made. But that's not going to change the way they draft, nor should it. But step No. 1 is what Isaac Seumalo said -- you better resolve the QB situation.

The DL is so underperforming the last thing we need/can afford is Cam back next year, right?
Gerry Dulac
10:59
No. What they can afford is to draft a big-time D-lineman with the No. 1 pick, something they needed to do the last couple years. I don't want to hear about needing an ILB. Big-time defensive lines make ILBs better, not the other way around.

Aside from Benton (and an injury caveat for Heyward) was there one player on the DL who met or exceeded expectations this year?  I know we are talking about 3rd and 4th rounders, but I would have hoped for SOME contribution from Loudermilk and Leal by now.  And Larry O didn't seem consistent enough.
Gerry Dulac
11:00
Not one. Loudermilk might be on his last go-round after three years. And Leal was the biggest disappointment on the team, by far.

Gerry, If they dont extend Tomlin, and quickly, why would any OC candidate want to think about coming here with a possible lame duck scenario?  They are going to end up with a bum from Whatsamatta U
Gerry Dulac
11:01
Well, if Tomlin is a lame duck, it's of his own doing, not the Steelers. They are prepared to extend him.

Hello Gerry.  Despite having a better record,  I thought Steelers are worse this year.  We been barely competitive against better teams, half the wins were luck, never ending QB problems.   The incoming OC will be forced to fix KP instead of having full say in his offense, with HC constantly preaching not turning ball over.  Why would anyone be interested in this job?  Defense is old and overpaid,  no locker room leadership committee....etc.  Alot will need to change before we get better.
Gerry Dulac

I don't think they were worse than 2022, at least not four the last four games. Now, the first 13.....

Hi Gerry. Love your chats. You constantly make me chuckle!! I felt all year taking the Captaincy from Najee was a strange move. It had to bother him. Maybe that’s why he’s been so cryptically vocal. I love the way he gives max effort but something just felt off with him all year. Too bad for that.
Gerry Dulac
11:02
I thought making him the captain in his second year was even more strange

Lots of quarterbacks get injured but is Kenny Pickett just too fragile for the NFL?
Gerry Dulac
11:02
He has been hurt a lot. He's not the biggest guy around
Paul from Beaver Falls
11:02
Has the final decision been made to bring Tomlin back?
Gerry Dulac
11:03
He has told the players he will be back and to disregard the rumors. But the Steelers intend to extend him, so long as he is willing to accept it
OK kids, that's all the time we have today. We'll try it again next week. Thanx
