How would Art I or Dan Rooney have handled the current Steelers differently then Art II regarding the current issues?
Gerry Dulac
11:46
I think Dan might have.

You think they will keep Dupree on at his current 5th year option price point?
Gerry Dulac
11:46
No. He will have to accept a pay cut or a contract restructure.

Any Kareem Hunt talk down there in Pittsburgh?

Let's hope not

Gerry, Assuming team trades AB and receives a 1st, do you see them using one of their 1st rd picks on an OL to replace Foster and/or Gilbert?
Gerry Dulac
11:47
Uh....no!!

I'd be willing to bet that Edmunds and Allen are ready to handle the strong safety position. If not, are there any available quality safeties who would be willing to take on the part time role that Burnett didn't want?
Gerry Dulac
11:49
Physically, both are, but so is Sean Davis. I think SD is better suited in the box if you can get a quality free safety.

Mike Wallace is a free agent.  Any sense in bringing him back if the price is right?
Gerry Dulac
11:49
Nope.

Austin has an excellent reputation as DC prior to Cinci. How do you see the defense changing with him in house. Less Tomlin?
Gerry Dulac
11:49
Not at all.

Is it normal practice for a team to give a disgruntled player permission to work out a trade for himself?
Gerry Dulac
11:50
Only if the deal is right.

Hello, Gerry. Do you feel this team has lacked locker room leaders since our last Super Bowl team in 2010, and has the front office taken notice as something to be addressed? Thanks.

I don't buy into the locker-room leader stuff. The team has enough players such as Cam Heyward and Maurkice Pouncey and Joe Haden and Dave DeCastro who are viewed as leaders and role models for younger players. Even guys like Vance McDonald. And don't underestimate Ben's impact on them. But also understand today's locker room is different than it was even 10 years ago. The days of a Ray Lewis player are gone. Look around the league: With the exception of Tom Brady and Drew Brees, name me one player who sets a tone as THE leader of the team? Too many disjointed personalities who feel it is their entitled right to act and do whatever they want.

OK kids, went a little OT for you on this blustery cold day. Thanx for the questions.
