When does the 2021 NFL schedule come out?
Gerry Dulac
1:52
Around the draft

Are we expecting any compensatory picks this year?
Gerry Dulac
1:55
Maybe, but nothing significant. Don't forget they signed Ebron, Wisniewski and Derek Watt in free agency and lost Hargrave and Matakevich in free agency.

Hi Gerry. I was following Avery Williamson when he was about to hit FA here in Nashville. I thought the Steelers did a great job to bring him in last year at a critical time and I think his contributions have been somewhat underrated. I think the D is better next year if the have Devin Bush and a combo of Spillane and Williamson. I can’t imagine he’d be a huge-dollar FA. Do you think the team is interested in signing him?
Gerry Dulac
1:55
Maybe but he won't be a priority.

don't you think ben's in it for the money? he has to know he can't do it any more, with only 3 playoffs win in 10  years the writing is on the wll, so why don't the steelers just let him go? don't you agree or do you think he can win another super bowl? be safe gerry

What is the extent of Tomlin coaching tree? I can’t think of any assistants that Tomlin hired that took a promotion to another team.

The tackle depth is supposed to be excellent in this draft, so should the Steelers draft a position like TE or CB earlier that isn’t as deep?
Gerry Dulac
1:56
I don't think there is any worry of that happening. None

Hi Gerry, what do you think of our new O line coach hiring? I hope it won't repeat last year. your thought.
Gerry Dulac
1:56
I think we need to give him time to see what he wants to do and be able to do

Firing Fichtner and Sarrett gives the appearance of some accountability, but if ARII is signaling that Tomlin is the HC for the future, if Ben is the de facto offensive coordinator, and if the two new coaches have been promoted from within, has enough really changed to make a difference next season?
Gerry Dulac
1:57
Ben is not the de facto offensive coordinator. That stuff sounds nice, but it is not true

Gerry, thanks for the chat and your perspective on all things Steelers.  Why in your opinion does Rooney so willingly & unapologetically accept such mediocrity & season ending meltdowns from Tomlin? He mentioned the 1980s but he didn’t have a HOF QB back then. Thanks.
Gerry Dulac

I don't think he accepts mediocrity. And when is 12-4 mediocre?

Hello Gerry!   Why did the Steelers pay FB Watt ($$) & and not really utilize him?
Gerry Dulac

Now that question I can't answer. So the logical followup is........

Hi Gerry. What are your favorite kinds of Steeler questions to answer?  Thanks for all of your good work. Pay the man!

Hi Gerry, Have really enjoyed your two articles in the past week about the team. Thought you were pot on in the points you made. With regards to the Steelers choice for O-Line coach, do you think they ever had a realistic shot to get Doug Marrone? Or any other experienced and proven coaches who would likely do a superb job coaching the O-linemen? Thanks
Gerry Dulac
1:59
I thought Doug Marrone would have been an excellent choice to pursue, much the way they did Mike Munchak several years ago. Make him a run game coordinator.

Gerry, why are the Steelers, fans and many in the press, so high on Omar  Khan, aka “Cap Guru”? Seems like we’ve kicked the can down the road like the national deficit without the ability to print more $$$. What say you?
Gerry Dulac

Who is high on him? And why would anyone be high or low on him?

Hi Jerry, thank you for doing this, it’s my first time so go easy on me! Is it true that Ben only wants to come back if Pouncey and JuJu are back? If so, how can the organization even begin to think about entertaining that with their salary cap situation?
Gerry Dulac

I wouldn't say that about JuJu -- he's a young kid. But Pouncey? That's his guy, a player he relates to. I'm sure he would like to have JuJu there if he is back, but it's not a deal-breaker. Players like Pouncey and DeCastro matter to him.

Do you think Trask is another of a long line of University of Florida QBs who were good college players but aren’t franchise QBs in the NFL?
Gerry Dulac

Bingo. Hold your cards

Gerry, it was reported earlier that DC Butler dictated the line and blitz calls and Tomlin set the coverage for at least the early downs. Did that change this season?
Gerry Dulac

Don't know who is reporting such stuff?

Weren't you the guy who stated "Canada would not be a candidate and shouldn't be..."(13-JAN-21)?  How do you now feel about the Steelers' decision to promote him to OC?

Let's see what happens.
Well, kids, that's all the time we have today. See you next week
