Good morning Gerry.  Relative to Ruduoph/Haskins. I have read comments from writers from two different media, that Haskins cannot read defenses.  Part of the reason Washington let him go, and he continued that with the Steelers, according to said writers.  Any comments?

There's no doubt that was the case in Washington. And the Steelers are hoping by having him for a year and working with him that might change. It was a low risk on their part.

Why are so many recently retired Steelers so bitter at the organization ? Is Art II that unlike his father and grandfather that ex-players want nothing to do with the team now ?

Gerry why are you so sure Munchack wont be back? I understand he left to be closer to family but now that he's out of job in Denver it seems like the Steelers make the most sense if he wants to continue coaching.

You are not considering three things: 1) the reason he went to Denver is for he and his wife to be close to their daughter and granddaughter...and they're still there. 2) maybe he doesn't like the makeup of the coaching staff; and 3) who said he wants to continue coaching.

No, that's probably true in most cities where the QB isn't Mahomes, Burrow, Brady or Rodgers.

Hi Gerry, I think signing Ju Ju is a no-brainer. He’s young, good for 100 receptions, catches balls in traffic, etc. You can’t rely on third+ round picks to step right in with a new qb. You are 100% correct here.

Do you believe the Steelers will start the year with Mason Rudolph as the starter?  If so, what would he have to do for them to make a commitment to him beyond next season; 3600 yards, 20 TDs 10 Ints, 63% completion?

You can't contend for a title without a franchise QB. If they don't like Pickett or Willis or any other QB in the draft, so be it. But short of trading for Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers, unlikely and unwise at least with Rodgers, they're not legitimate contenders until they draft one in the first round.
