Gerry, what are the chances the Steelers look to bring back JuJu
Gerry Dulac
10:21
The chances are very good. And they should be.

Do you think Ben was ready to retire or do you think it was forced by the Steelers?
Gerry Dulac

A couple chats ago, you said that Haskins has a better chance to beat out Rudolph than people think.  Is it close to 50 - 50?  Thanks
Gerry Dulac
10:21
He will be given that opportunity to make it at least 50-50

With outside hires coming up for the new offensive line and receivers position coaches, any indication that AJRII strongly suggested that if Matt Canada was going to stay there had to be some changes with the offensive coaching staff and that   given the abysmal performance by the offense the preference to promote internally to fill coaching vacancies needed to change?
Gerry Dulac
10:23
Either that or some of those coaches didn't want to stick around if certain other coaches weren't let go.

Good morning Gerry, Gil Brandt (nfl.com) placed Big Ben as the number 2 Steelers all-time, in your list, where does Big Ben land?
Gerry Dulac
10:26
No. 2 QB or No. 2 all-time? If it's QB, at the very least of course. If winning the Super Bowl is the only barometer by which this franchise judges success, then Bradshaw has to get the nod because of his 4 SB titles. And please don't tell me about how the great the Steelers defense was when he played. If he's talking No. 2 all-time among all players, my friend Gil is slightly wrong. But I get his appreciation for what Ben did and his impact on the franchise because I greatly concur.

Hi Gerry, would the Steelers consider trading their first rounder for a later first rounder and additional picks?
Gerry Dulac
10:27
I doubt it. They need to be as high as they can to get the best impact player available. But, at 20, impact players aren't really available.

I saw Ray (and other Mocks) have Steelers taking Penning in the first. Why would they take a LT if they like Dan Moore? I thought he played well for a 4th round rookie and has good upside.
Gerry Dulac
10:27
I don't see that happening
Ronald
10:27
Who would you like to see as the next quarterback for the Steelers?
Gerry Dulac
10:28
Joe Burrow

10:28
Hey Gerry, if Mason Rudolph was the all-time starter next season, do you see us winning 7 games?
Gerry Dulac
10:28
If they fix the lines of scrimmage, I can see them winning nine games again

Any chance Davis from Georgia is there at 20 and would the Steeles take him?
Gerry Dulac
10:28
If he were, I'd jump all over it.

considering how poorly the defense has been (including giving up over 40 points in their last 3 playoff games) I sure wish Tomlin will relinquish his defensive play calling duties. I'm wondering why the GM never stepped in and told Tomlin that it was time for a change
Gerry Dulac
10:29
And what does that tell you that nobody did?
Billy
10:29
Who all do you think get contract extensions this off-season?
Gerry Dulac
10:29
Minkah.

Hey Gerry. Thanks for the chats. Any news about what’s going on with Josh Dobbs? He would seem to be more mobile than the other QBs the Steelers currently have and possibly a better fit for Canada’s offense. Is he at least worth a look or has his chance already gone past?
Gerry Dulac
10:33
His chance has passed. He has not performed well at all when he's had his chance, except for one incredibly big-time throw in Baltimore. I like Josh a great deal. Great guy to have on the team and as a No. 3. But they are not considering him to be in the mix for their next QB

Thanks for the chats Gerry.  What is the one thing Mason needs to improve on to be a steady starter?  Or is it more than one
Gerry Dulac
10:35
Well, I'm not a talent evaluator, but I can tell you Mason works very hard in practice at many technical aspects. He is not a guy who thinks he's going to get by purely with athletic ability.
Scott
10:35
If Teryl Austin is such a great candidate why haven't any of the other 31 teams poached him to be their DC? He has been available for that role for a few years. What will he bring to the table now that he has not already contributed over the past 3 years?
Gerry Dulac
10:35
That's what we're going to find out. One thing you can count on -- the defense still having a Mike Tomlin look to it.
Rahn
10:35
Would you rather address tackle or the middle of the line first at the draft? And what free agents could be brought in to give some veteran leadership and stability?
Gerry Dulac
10:36
OL, free agency priority, especially center. D-line, top of the draft priority, even No. 1
Par 3
10:36
Unless your QB is Joe Burrow, who can get sacked nine times and still beat a playoff team, I think the draft should emphasize the OL. Najee deserves help based on what he endured last year. How about drafting at least 2 OL with one being the first pick. Rudolph and Haskins will appreciate that as well
Gerry Dulac
10:38
I somewhat agree with your assessment, but I think you will see a starter OLineman in free agency and another one in the top two or three picks in the draft. Me? I draft two defensive linemen among the first three picks.
Rahn
10:38
It seemed there were several interior DL that could be immediate difference makers at the Senior Bowl and would give the team some relief is Stephon Tuitt decides to not return. Would that be your second thought after OL?
Gerry Dulac
10:39
No, the OL is my second thought. Did you watch what was on that field this season??
Dan
10:39
Hypothetical - first round pick for Kyler Murray?
Gerry Dulac
10:40
I suggest you ask that on one of the talk shows you might listen to

So a certainly morbidly obese radio host with an awfully high opinion of himself think Duck Hodges was the worst QB in Steeler history. I would say Kent Nix. Who do you say ?
Gerry Dulac
10:40
You go back a long way to bring up the name of Kent Nix.
