Gerry, I am wrong to think good riddance to Brown and Bell? Some of best players in the history of the game have played for the Steelers, have retired and the team kept going and has had success, and this is no different, right?
Gerry Dulac
11:50
That is correct. You are not wrong at all. They won Super Bowls before AB and LeV Bell, they'll win them after AB and LB.

Gerry....Ray had the Steelers taking the CB Murphy in the first round. I've seen others having them taking Devin White #1. If both are available, who do you take?
Gerry Dulac
11:53
They will take an ILB who can run before they take a CB in the draft, in part because of need, in part because of their poor history of drafting CBs. But also because I believe the Steelers will address CB in something of a big way in free agency.

If a out 6 to 8 are made and/or calls by refs go Steelers way in 2018, then probably 12-4 or 13-3 record. This without LB and inconsistent/declining production from AB. The Steelers are not that far from having a very good record. What say you?
Gerry Dulac
11:55
No they are not. They still have the makings of one of the best rosters in the league. And, forget about officials calls (except for the PI against Haden in NO). If the Steelers make just one defensive stop -- just ONE! -- in the final minutes against either the Chargers, Denver, Oakland or New Orleans, they win the division and make the playoffs.

I keep reading that the Steelers would absorb a 21 million cap hit if they trade Antonio Brown before March 17. The number goes way down after a date in June. Why is there also the opinion that something needs to be done now? Is there some reason teams wouldn't trade for him later? Do we have to do it before the draft for the Steelers best interests?
Gerry Dulac

They do absorb a $21 million cap hit for 2019. That is the total of his pro-rated signing bonus ($7.04 million a year) for the next three years. But they have to trade him by March 17 or pay him a $2.5 roster bonus.

Hi Gerry...thanks for the chats...aren't we really missing a generational secondary player..ie..Polamula or Woodson

Yes.

Gerry, It bothers me to see the very negative coverage of BR these last few weeks. Living in New England, Brady has for years thrown F-bombs around at players and refs on the field and tore Josh McDaniels a new one on the sidelines on national TV. He’s still a saint, however.

Do you know where I can get an autographed Ron Ocean jersey converted to Mr Big Chest?

Go online Amazon/Narcissistic, go to "Entitled" dropdown.

Why was Tomlin NOT at the meeting with AB and Rooney?
Gerry Dulac
12:03
No need. But a good question. No one has asked that one.

Why was Mike Tomlin not in attendance at the AB / Art Rooney meeting? The HEAD COACH was not there, but Colbert & Omar Khan, AB's agent and AB's daddy were.  Did Tomlin not know what side he'd be on? Thoughts?

Had nothing to do with it.
OK kids, went OT today. Thanx for all the good questions. Couldn't get to them all.  I'll be at the NFL combine next week. Chat then
