Gerry, I’m starting to be won over by the idea that in this draft we fix our O and D lines and just run, run, run the ball. I remember watching some teams last season running plays that seemed like the ones we were trying to run, but having them actually work.  Their backs had holes to hit and their receivers got separation. I realize Ben was basically a statue, but isn’t it time that the rest of the offense stand up and take their fair share of responsibility for the steaming pile of goo that was our offense?

Gerry, thanks for the chats.  A few national media reports seem to be questioning how Minkah and Flores will get on.  Knowing that these guys are both professionals, seems like a non-event.  In addition, if there was any concern (even slight), I'm sure Tomlin and Flores would have discussed.

If you were NFL Commissioner, would you keep the three-day draft format? Do you get the sense that GMs and coaches like having the extra day -- and the extra breathing space after round one -- or would they rather just get it over with in two days?

Colbert is the first person I've heard in the organization show support for Mason Rudolph since the season ended. Najee, TJ, & even Cam have all referred to finding someone to come in and lead the offense. Even AR was lukewarm on their QB's. Does Rudolph have any chance to succeed here with what appears to be little to no belief in him?

I think they were speaking more to the possibility of a different quarterback being brought in, something they (and others) believe they will do. It wasn't so much a dismissal of Rudolph. It was more about whoever becomes BR's replacement.
