Number of offensive players vs defensive players taken with our allotted draft picks in your opinion?  Tilt towards offense i do believe
Gerry Dulac
11:19
Absolutely.
MDB
11:23
Do you think the Steelers will address their lack of ILB depth in the draft or bring in a couple
Gerry Dulac
11:24
I think they have to draft a young guy for that spot, but, with Bud gone, they will also look for a third OLB. They value that position more than they do ILB.
Fred

I think a lot of Steelers fans are gullible, at least the ones who think they can resign Dupree or JuJu, given their cap situation.  I don’t understand why they think someone would take a big discount on their first post rookie contract.  It makes no sense.  Is it gullibility or just extremely wishful thinking?
Gerry Dulac
11:26
It's wishful thinking and being naive. No player is going to choose a team or city over money when it comes time to sign a second contract, especially if the money is much greater somewhere else. And I wouldn't blame any last one of them

Gerry, you got one last round to play before the asteroid hits.  Gotta be Cyprus Point, yes?
Gerry Dulac
11:26
Probably because I've played most of the others. Except Pine Valley

11:26
Who’s the best free agent the Steelers ever signed?
Gerry Dulac
11:27
James Farrior probably. Jeff Hartings was a good one. Haden, though that was after the free agent period.
MDB
11:27
Why have the Steelers already given up on Snell and McFarland as possibly be the featured back?
Gerry Dulac
11:28
Because they're not feature backs. Doesn't mean they not good complementary players

Who would run the Steelers after Art II?  Is there a younger member of the Rooney family involved with the Steelers?  Just curious.
Gerry Dulac
11:28
Yes there is.

Hello Gerry, So it is week 11 of the 2021 NFL season, Steelers are at 5-6 and out of playoff consideration. Do they sit #7 and look at what they may or may not have in Mason Rudolph?
Gerry Dulac
11:30
First of all, at 5-6, they would never think they are out of playoff consideration because they would think they could win their final five games, finish 10-6, get in as a wild card and maybe do what they did in 2005 -- which was become the first No. 6 seed to win the Super Bowl. So that would never happen. I get your point. But I'm only addressing your scenario.

Of all the needs the Steelers have, which position is the deepest in the draft ? I mean is it possible to get a player who can make a real impact this year in like the 4th or 5th round ?
Gerry Dulac
11:32
That's just sheer luck to find an "impact" player in the fourth or fifth round. Wide receiver is probably the deepest position in the draft. Offensive tackles is another. The Steelers need an offensive lineman at some point, especially if they don't sign a center in free agency. But I think you will see the focus on a RB

I heard Adidi Kinkabwala take credit for the story that you essentially broke yesterday on that fake news sports talk radio station....that bothered me, how about you
Gerry Dulac
11:34
It was actually two days ago on Twitter and anyone like you knows where the truth is coming from and when.
Daniel
11:34
Do you like the power of Harris or the do all Etienne better for the Steelers?
Gerry Dulac
11:35
I get your point, and I think it will depend what type of offense and scheme Matt Canada will want to implement. Harris would typically be a better fit for the Steelers. Etienne is more of a Chiefs type of player, but doesn't mean he won't be a good fit here if Canada employs that college-style offense for which he is known.

11:35
Gerry you pounded on the drum for awhile that the steelers would sign juju during the year...what changed?
Gerry Dulac
11:36
I said they would like to sign JuJu. Doesn't mean he feels the same.
Justin
11:36
Will Vince Williams be cut?
Gerry Dulac
11:36
Either that or have his salary reduced.
Daniel
11:36
If the Steelers are going to make a move up the board for a QB, it should be Trey Lance. Agreed?
Gerry Dulac
11:37
That's a big "If" but that would make more sense than Mac Jones or Kyle Trask
Bearcats
11:38
Of all the Steeler free agents, I think the three they need to sign are Hilton, Sutton and Alualu. The rest can go. Agree ?
Gerry Dulac
11:38
It won't be Hilton AND Sutton. And I think Hilton will lose the battle.
Fred
11:38
If Jones is a backup then he’s not worth a2bd round pick either, maybe a 4th?
Gerry Dulac
11:39
That's right. But he won't last that long,
The Dude
11:39
Reading about Big Al’s prospects and landing spots, it appears a lot of people think he is plenty good enough for a good sized contract. Are the Steelers unloading him because of performance or cost?
Gerry Dulac
11:39
It's time to move on.
Fred
11:39
Resign Alualu or draft a replacement?
Gerry Dulac
11:39
I'd re-sign him because it's not like they have a lot of good young studs behind him
Guest
11:39
Could you see the Steelers trading out of the first round to accumulate more draft picks?  There are a lot of holes to fill.
Gerry Dulac
11:39
Nope
AK
11:39
CB is a need in this draft, yes?
Gerry Dulac
11:40
They should never ever again draft a cornerback. Their history stinks
