Gerry, My number one hope with regard to the Steelers QB decision is that the consequences will be  minor and limited to 2025/26. Is that a lack of faith or just rational thinking?

Seemed to me Elandon Roberts was sincere on wanting to return. Do you think that is probable? Seems like a player, with some limitations, but knows what it takes to win.

It won't be about him wanting to return. It will be if they want him to, and at what price. I hope they do do bring him back. He's their best run-stuffing ILB

Don’t you think what the Steelers really need are not DLs that are great pass rushers, but stout run stuffers who can push the pocket into the edge rushers?

They need great DLs. Like a Cam Heyward. And you only find them on the first round. You can find those run-stuffers elsewhere

Hi Gerry- How do they come up with the list on who to invite to the Combine? There seems to be a lot of very good players out there that aren't invited. I mentioned Nash Hutmacher before- graduated fron Nebraska early, so had limited play last season, often double teamed and held, played in the East West Shrine Bowl, was four time HS state wresting champ, NE track star and wrestler, and plays lights out on the field. Fantastic work ethic and good character-he was not rated very highly on the list of DL. He stands out on every play but he doesn't make that list- just wondering. Thank you for the great work.

Good morning.  There's a lot of talk about which veteran QB will start next year, yet none are under contract.  Why would any QB sign here unless they had no other offers?  The head coach routinely lies to then about their roles.  Whoever does play is handcuffed by the head coach due to his fears.  The top WR is a headcase that only plays when he wants to and is enabled by the head coach.  The OC and QB coach are merely puppets for the head coach.  I'm sure Kenny, Mason, and Mitch would all say they are happier in their current situations.

Gerry, unless the Steelers are seriously worried about Pickens’ on field and locker room behaviors, I don’t understand why they would trade him, especially if they can’t get a quality receiver or two in free agency or the draft.  Your thoughts?

Can anyone who has ever been around football for more than 15 minutes explain this to me? Does ANY other team put that restriction on their QBs?
