Is Cameron Sutton really worth $ 10 million a year as being said? Can't the Steelers find a much cheaper slot corner in free agency or the draft?
Gerry Dulac
10:44
No he isn't. But he is not primarily a slot corner. He is an outside CB who can play in the slot. I like Cam Sutton as player because of all the different roles he can play. But good luck if he thinks he will find that amount somewhere in free agency.

Any word on the Safeties? i.e. Edmunds/Kazee. I would love to see them draft Brian Branch.
Gerry Dulac
10:47
None yet. I'm sure they will try to re-sign Kazee. Dumb if they don't. Only problem with Branch is he is not the type of corner they need. He can't cover or shutdown like Gonzalez or Porter. They don't need a versatile CB. They need a COVER cornerback.

Block numbers... when are they coming back? Should have never left. Thanks, Gerry!
Gerry Dulac
10:47
Not anytime soon probably

Why did Alabama list Bryce Young at 6 feet tall for so long when he was only 5'10", and are they now embarrassed?
Gerry Dulac
10:48
Colleges do that ALL the time, and not just heights and weights. Notorious for doing that with 40 times, as well.

Do you think there will be any additions to the coaching staff before the draft?
Gerry Dulac
10:48
Probably not now unless someone leaves.

Thanks for the chats Gerry.  Just read BBs story about Kenny getting receivers down to Florida.  I know he has a long way to go but I like the leadership I see and the film study.  If he fails it wont be from a lack of effort.  You agree?  Also who do you like in the players this weekend!!

I have no problem with Pickett's work ethic and preparation -- more important, neither do the Steelers. That's why he developed so quickly last year. And I like SS, as I stated earlier.

Hi Gerry. Kancy and Hargrave have similar measurables coming out of college. Hargrave was heavier and his arms were about an inch and 3/8 longer. Do you believe Kancy would fit the Steelers defense? Other writers don't believe so. It would be great to have another Hargrave.

I do, especially in their sub packages because he is one-gap player who uses his quickness and athleticism to disrupt plays in the backfield. It depends, too, where he is available in the draft.

Hi G! I'd love to see some combination/portion of the following FAs signed to take preasure of the draft and enable "best player available picking": Orlando Brown Jr., OT, Jamel Dean, CB, Marcus Davenport, DE, David Long Jr., ILB, T.J. Edwards, ILB, Byron Murphy Jr., CB, Germaine Pratt, ILB, Charles Omenihu, DE, Andre Dillard, OT, Leighton Vander Esch, ILB. Do you a) agree and b) think this is in any way realistic?
Gerry Dulac
10:53
I think an ILB is a possibility, but I've said many times already -- I don't expect the Steelers to be very active in signing outside FAs, not like they were last year. That was a record for them. I think they might be selective with one, maybe two, but no high-priced ones.

Good morning Gerry. First, do you have a favorite coffee? As to the Steelers, while I’m starting to see a little attention paid, the emphasis to this point which is about OL, DL and CB ignores what I believe to be the biggest need:ILB. Thoughts?
Gerry Dulac
10:54
That is not their biggest need. Way down the list. Your ILBs are only as good as the DL in front of them.

What's your prediction as to how the Lamar Jackson contract saga ends? Signs with Ravens, elsewhere, or holds out?
Gerry Dulac
10:55
If some team offers him, I think the Ravens will take the two No. 1s. If not, I think he will sign the tag and take the money for a year.

when QB/WR get together in the off season, are coaches are prohibited from being there?
Gerry Dulac
10:55
Yes they are.
10:56
OK kids, that's all the time we have. Thanx for the questions. See you next week
