If Harris is gone at 24 are you taking another RB or is he the only first round choice?
Gerry Dulac
11:05
I'd be very happy with Javonte Williams. Even Etienne.

I don’t understand the pessimism from your colleagues. If the Steelers can find more balance on offense along with the defense they already have, why can’t they be one of the top teams in the AFC?
Gerry Dulac
11:05
None of them thought they would be 11-0 and 12-4 either. So...yeah
Karl Hungus
11:05
Good Morning Gerry. Do you see the Steelers picking up and additional back via free agency along with a high draft pick, similar to what Cleveland did with Chubb and Hunt?
Gerry Dulac
11:05
It would surprise me to see a DeAngelo Williams type added to the mix.
Jake
11:06
Any surprise cuts /signin or renewal coming with the lower cap that fans should embrace for?
Gerry Dulac
11:06
I think they got it figured out. But they need to figure out Joe Haden.
Karl Hungus
11:06
Gerry, do you think it might be wise for the Steelers to find a Veteran wide receiver? Possibly a cap casualty with some gas left in the tank to replace JuJu and possible mentor young Claypool.
Gerry Dulac
11:07
They have a WR coach to mentor Claypool,  but, if they do, hopefully he learns something more than how to grow his brand.

Where do you think there is the most position depth at as it relates to cost effective FA's, that could benefit the Steelers, and their budget?
Gerry Dulac
11:08
I don't think they look at it that way. They look at the position(s) of need and address one of those -- and only one. And center makes the most sense for many reasons.
Mike
11:08
Hey Gerry, in the past you’ve talked about the Steelers diving into the free agent Center market. What names make the most sense to you?
Gerry Dulac
11:09
Guys like Dave Andrews and Corey Linsley should be the targets of their search.

ANY chance Steelers try signing Kyle Rudolph?
Gerry Dulac
11:09
There always a chance

Was the extra Wild Card team that was added this past season just a temporary, Covid-related thing or will that be a permanent playoff feature going forward?
Gerry Dulac
11:10
That will be a permanent money-making thing.

Seems like the Steelers main issue getting them to elite contender was a horrible offensive line. Is the departure of MM the reason? Any chance for improvement this season?
Gerry Dulac
11:11
That's part of it. But they are committed to improving the line relative to the run game so I would think you will see improvement.
Mike
11:11
Hey Gerry, Do the Steelers plan on cutting anyone?
Gerry Dulac
11:11
That remains to be seen.

Why is everyone excluding Hobbs for a chance for the 2022 season? I thought he has shown a lot of promise. IMO he has way more upside than Mason Rudolph.
Gerry Dulac
11:11
Apparently they don't share your analysis

11:12
When do they finally officially retire #32 and #58? Let’s do it while they are still with us.
Gerry Dulac
11:14
They don't retire numbers as much as they just don't give them out.

Do you see a possibility of Juju being back?
Gerry Dulac
11:15
Sure, but I don't think ity's a very good one. I think JuJu will go for the big contract in free agency and nobody should blame him. The Steelers won't.
KW
11:15
With the salary cap now set, and the Steelers finding themselves under it, should we only expect restructures and no cuts?
Gerry Dulac
11:16
I think they have already put themselves in good position with some of their restructures and new contracts (Ben) where they don't have to cut anyone. But I still think you will see a lot of their top free agents not re-signed.

11:16
With Vince Williams contract expiring this season, does it make sense to cut him to save money and allow Spillane to take over next to Bush, or find a replacement in the draft?
Gerry Dulac
11:17
I think it makes sense to offer Vince a reduced take-it-or-leave-it salary, much like they did with James Harrison when he opted to leave it.
Ryan
11:17
do the Steelers restructur the contract of Tuitt and a few others to get more cap space or cut a few players
Gerry Dulac
11:17
Tuitt. Steve Nelson. Prime candidates.
GM
11:17
HI Gerry, who get their deal first 19 or 90?  (if 19 gets a deal)
Gerry Dulac
11:18
You answered your own question.
Name
11:18
What else are the Steelers likely to do to help open up cap space for this season ? ... assuming they will try to make a run for Bens potential final season
Gerry Dulac
11:19
They are doing everything they can. Look, year after year, nobody navigates/manipulates the cap better than the Steelers. They know what they're doing. There's a reason they are a competitive playoff team year after year. They are no 4-12 or 5-11 seasons with this franchise.
REID
11:19
Gerry, any news on the salary cap yet? Ive seen some pundits say its $180M but that's the floor. Where do you think it will land?
Gerry Dulac
11:20
Just announced -- $182.5 million
