The company line after the season was that the Steelers would like to have either Fields or Wilson back.  Could it be more obvious that was a total lie? If they wanted Wilson back wouldn't he already be signed? Just makes it seem like they were only interested in Fields and didn't have a plan B.

They certainly needed to, but, at this point, who is worth it that is better than what they have, which isn't much.

Nothing is off the table at this point. But, if they're looking for a starter, right now it's either Rodgers or Wilson. Everyone else is just a backup. If the Steelers re-signed Wilson or Field, I thought the best backup option was Daniel Jones

Rodgers is probably the only one. They got their WR and CB. And their isn't a D-lineman out there in FA worth that. Maybe they make a trade to get one.

TJ Watt is by far my favorite Steeler and as much as I hate to say it, he is not winning us anything without a solid option at QB. Wouldnt it make sense to trade and package him for a solid starting QB from another team if they were willing such as a Kyler Murray?

Hey Gerry, given how the Steelers use Minkah, doesn’t it make sense to trade him for a 2nd or 3rd, replace him with someone half his salary, and then have the draft capital to take two d line men in their first three picks? I’m not seeing how they’ve solved their defensive problems and even with those moves, they still need to add to their secondary. Thanks -

In all honesty, WTF is going on with the QB situation?  Are we to wait for Rodgers to decide?  Make nice with Russ?  Are they going to draft a bum in the first round?

They'd have to go so high to get one I don't think they would ever give up what it would take. But a Pickens trade to get back the No. 2 pick you lost in the Metcalf trade always sounds like a good option
