His cap number for 2026 is $31 million, according to overthecap.com, the site that tracks such numbers
John from Kentucky

Good morning! I feel like deebo would make a good slot in our offense. Ecspecially with how fast Rodgers gets it out.
Gerry Dulac
10:51
Maybe. But that's not happening
Bill In LA
10:51
Wow! What do you think of my boy Kenny Pickett's $ 7 1/2 million contract with the Panthers?
Gerry Dulac
10:52
Just proof of what I always say -- the desperation of NFL GMs knows no boundaries. Then again, that is not only the going price for a backup quarterback these days, that is a modest price.
Bill In LA
10:52
If Cameron Heyward's level of play 15 years ago was a 10, what do you honestly believe his level is today on a scale of 1 to 10?
Gerry Dulac
10:52
9.5

Would you say that physically, Will Howard is a mediocre talent? And someone like Allar is on the higher end of the spectrum?
Gerry Dulac
10:54
That's the only high end of the spectrum you will find Allar. And I don't believe Howard is a mediocre physical talent, not at 6-4, 238. That's basically the same size as Allar.

Good morning, Gerry.  Has Omar been more aggressive than anticipated in FA? Think the trade at WR and FA pick ups set them up well to draft positions that are strengths in this draft. Do you see Vega as the most likely Rnd 1 pick
Gerry Dulac
10:55
No. He had been aggressive in FA in each of the previous two years as well, maybe even more aggressive
Beaver Falls Kid
10:55
What’s the deal with Big Ben? Love him but seems a lot of his ideas, observations, predictions, etc., about the Steelers are “off” and few actually come true.
Gerry Dulac
10:56
His observations might not be predictions, but suggestions. It's more to do what he thinks, rather than what the Steelers are actually doing. That means he might not agree with what they are doing sometimes
Arthur not Art
10:56
If Rodgers commits pre-draft and given their position on developing Howard, do you see them using Rudolph in a draft day trade if there's someone they're targeting and want to preserve a 3rd or 4th Rnd pick for additional positioning later.
Gerry Dulac
10:57
No. That's not in their plans
Steve
10:57
Gerry, you said last week — seven days ago — that the Steelers were content with Spencer Anderson as the starting LG. Today, you're singing a different tune. Which is it?
Gerry Dulac
10:58
No, I'm saying -- and have said -- they are content for now with Spencer Anderson. But that doesn't mean they won't draft a guard, which they will.
BAB
10:58
Since you might not be around after the draft. What is your early prediction for the Steelers 2026 season record?
Gerry Dulac
10:58
Am I going somewhere??
Mike in Virginia
10:58
Gerry, what have you heard is holding back Kaleb Johnson? A third round pick at RB, but then the team went out and got Gainwell. Then, when it looks like he could be the No. 2 back, they go out and get Dowdle. What does he need to improve on to be a regularly featured back?
Gerry Dulac
11:00
They actually signed Gainwell BEFORE they drafted Johnson. And why wouldn't they sign Dowdle to replace Gainwell. They certainly weren't in position to hand the No. 2 job to Johnson because they didn't see enough from him in 2025. But that doesn't mean they are giving upon him. I still think he's going to be a good player
Ryan
11:00
Gerry what do you think about the free agent signings so far i like them all do they get a guard before the draft and a Quarterback Go Steelers
Gerry Dulac
11:01
I like 'em, too, and they will draft a guard at some point. They are done with their significant FA signings
BAB
11:01
I’m curious as to Mike McCarthy‘s record in developing truly raw quarterbacks. Can you please enlighten me?
Gerry Dulac
11:02
He really hasn't had to do it. When he was at Green Bay, he had Favre and Rodgers. When he went to Dallas, he had Dak Prescott. This will be a first.
Mike From PH
11:03
Hi Gerry - do you get a sense the players are happy/positive with McCarthy being the new HC or is there still a negative vibe about MT leaving? I know McCarthy butted heads in GB with some star players, including Rodgers
Gerry Dulac
11:04
To be honest, they haven't even worked with him yet and have only met and talked with him individually. How they view him, respond to him, won't come till later. One thing I learned about players (just like fans) -- they will like him if he helps them win games.

Our last playoff win coincides with the last time we had a real stud helming the green dot. (Shazier) If I was in the Steelers organization I would be banging every drum for CJ Allen, even if it cost a first rounder. Have you gotten any sense that LB is a priority to the brass, or are they happy riding the PQ roller coaster for his last contract year?
Gerry Dulac
11:05
I do not believe they are looking in that direction in the draft, at least, not high.
Eric Witt
11:06
Gut feeling still Rodgers week 1?
Gerry Dulac
11:06
Yes
Bob
11:06
Why not sign Brock Hoffman? He is only 26 and can play C/OG. That way we are not forced to draft a guard early.
Gerry Dulac
11:06
Who said they are drafting a guard early?
BAB
11:06
How long until Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy clash like they did later in their tenure together?
Gerry Dulac
11:06
I'm curious to see
Eric Witt
11:07
What is the biggest current need not addressed going into the draft?
Gerry Dulac
11:08
Guard is one of them, and I say that only because I thought they would sign a veteran guard in free agency when Seumalo left.
KordellTolls
11:08
Gerry, is Will Howard the greatest 6th round QB of all time next to Tom Brady? Why the unbridled optimism for such a late round pick who hasn't played a snap?
Gerry Dulac
11:09
That's why I tell everyone to relax
BAB
11:09
How long until Steelers fans say Mike McCarthy is winning with Mike Tomlin players? or is that comment only reserved for Mike Tomlin, winning with Bill Coers players?
