Good Morning Gerry..  Thanks for your time.. Processing all that's happened this week makes my head hurt. Guess I'm getting old... What are the chances Fields wins out and gets a multi year deal over Wilson?  AND..  did ya'll see that kind of attitude from Pickett coming?  Cheers

Always a chance, especially if Wilson would get hurt. And, yes, we saw it at the end of last season with the way he was handling Rudolph getting to play and not him. Never mind that Rudolph energized the offense and made it look like it belonged in the NFL. The same that couldn't be said when they averaged 16.5 points and Pickett threw just six touchdowns in the 11 games he started. I will remind everyone that the Steelers were ready to bench Pickett after their 13-10 loss in Cleveland. Instead, they fired Matt Canada.

Any chance Tomlin & Arthur Smith come up with a package that has both Wilson and Fields on the field at the same time? Do you think it would be a short-yardage or a short touchdown situation? Pittsburgh coaches misuse their players an awful.lot.

Not at the same time....

Hi Gerry, quite the departure from the Steelers business as usual this past week. That said, I am not a big believer in either of the two QBs based on what I have seen over the past two years. I would still like to see them draft a QB like the kid from Florida State with one of the RD 3 picks or Michael Pennix in Rd. 2. Any chance the Steelers take that approach?

They won't be drafting one high or by day 2. Maybe on day 3.

Gerry, surely you are going to change your Masters pick and go with the guy with the crazy footwork and the new, hot putter. Correct?

It is tough to bet against Scheffler. Like betting against Mahomes.

What are you hearing on Najee Harris’ fifth year option?

I'm guessing they will pick it up, but it will cost them nearly $12 million in 2025. It's also possible they could sign him to an extension that would cost less than that. But they have to decide by May 2.

OK kids, that's all the time we have today. Lots of good questions, sorry I couldn't get to them all. I'll be at the NFL owners meetings next week, so we might be chatting of a different day. Stay tuned.
