Good morning Gerry. Rodgers is an accomplished veteran that likes to do things his way.  He appears to often make adjustments at the line before the snap. Do you think that he will play within Arthur Smith’s system? Will the coaching staff give him more flexibility to audible? If they had issues with R. Wilson making adjustments, what happens when Rodgers begins to freelance?

I don’t understand the Steelers pursuit of Aaron Rodgers. Everybody out there says he’s the best option available. But is he really? Besides being a locker room, cancer, and a generally horrible person, as a football player he is completely washed. Did anybody see what he did the last year with the Jets, with better skill players around him than the Steelers have? The fact is he hasn’t been very good in several years. Signing him would be a waste of time, money effort, and will essentially be throwing away this season. What is it about him that the Steelers find appealing?

I would almost rather go with Rudolph than Rogers unless Rogers has enough pull to actually play QB.  Any idea what the holdup is?  Is it how Tomlin wants the QB to play?

My take - Russ and Fields do better in NY than they did with the Steelers and the Steelers do much worse than they did last year with the both of them.  Alot of hate on Russ for the 5 game skid when alot of that should be on the coaching, O line, and WRs.

I hate the Aaron Rodgers potential signing for so many reason. But I also don't understand Tomlin's interest. The best-case scenario with Rodgers is MAYBE a playoff win. And if that happens, the narrative will be that RODGERS won the playoff game, that Tomlin NEEDED Rodgers to finally win a playoff game, that he couldn't do it himself, so he brought in someone who could. I don't see the upside. Plus, if he stays healthy, Rodgers will pass Ben for 5th in all-time passing yards--while playing for the Steelers. It all just feels...icky. Am I overthinking this?

Why even bother with a QB before rounds 4-5 in this year’s draft?  We already have Rudolph and all signs point to having extra picks to move up next year.  Am I wrong?
