Why do you think the Steelers are entertaining a Bud Dupree return? Remember his first three seasons as a Steeler?
Gerry Dulac
11:47
Because he would be an outstanding backup, that's why

we know how much the Steelers love to bring in former 1st round draft picks, so how long until we see Edmonds and Bush back in the black and gold? ;)
Gerry Dulac
11:47
You won't

11:47
Would the Steelers take Jalen Carter if he were there the 17th pick? Good idea orbed?
Gerry Dulac
11:48
Hypothetical because I don't think he will last that long, even with all his issues.

Good Morning Gerry.  With the signing of TE Gentry, do you anticipate any interest in bringing in another TE via the draft and using Heyward as a Fullback/H-Back?
Gerry Dulac
11:49
That wouldn't surprise me, especially because Gentry was signed to just a one-year deal. I don't think Heyward is a FB and he's not exactly a TE, but what he is is a football player who needs to play more.

Hi Gerry, ideally we go CB, DL, OL in some order in rounds 1 and 2. That said, if a stud ILB is available at 32 or 49 I wouldn’t hate that. And  Penn States safety J Brown in the 4th. What say you?
Gerry Dulac
11:50
Ja'Ayir Brown in 4th round is a steal. Don't think he's last that long

Any chance they'll use their second 2nd pick to move up about 5 spots and grab a LT?
Gerry Dulac
11:50
Ya never know.
Colin

Ringo is a round 2 guy, I can't see them taking him at 17.  Really hope they trade down if top LT's are gone
Gerry Dulac
11:50
I tend to agree. But maybe at 32
Colin
11:50
Breese got injured a lot. 32 yes, but not at 17
Gerry Dulac
11:50
OK, I'll tell them

Now you are going to force me to go back and research all your past articles. You definitely said "fantastic" "tremendous" or something along those lines. I remember reading it and asking myself what I missed.
Gerry Dulac
11:51
I'll tell you what you missed -- who wrote that article.

Am I the only one who thinks that Dupree has been injury prone his whole career?  Really hasn't he had only one good season?
Gerry Dulac
11:52
No, you are right -- he has. But he would still be a great backup to have

Hey Gerry, When you and your companions offer your insight to the FO ideas on things like the draft, are you tipping off the competition to what the Steelers may be thinking or planning?  Do teams use counter-intelligence to scope out that other teams are planning, or do they focus more on their own needs?
Gerry Dulac
11:55
I'm sure they do. But, if they were smart, they wouldn't lend too much credence to any of it. And here's why: I know teams who used unknowing writers and deliberately gave them a false impression of what they were thinking of doing in the draft. They did it in an attempt to throw other teams off.

Can you think of a better trade than Claypool for the 2nd round pick?
Gerry Dulac
11:55
Nope. Oscar-winning

We seem (very) thin at CB given Sutton and Edmunds are gone - could you see two CBs and a safety in the draft?
Gerry Dulac
11:56
One each

Sounds like Mitch be back. But, will it be at his $8M salary?
Gerry Dulac
11:56
Yes sir

Hi Gerry, just an observation. The Steelers D of the 70;s had a ton of talent, certainly more than we have today. They also had one other thing that I think we're missing today and that is attitude. I doubt we have one man on defense that would body slam an opponent for patting our kicker on the head after a missed field goal.. Things like that set tthe tone for in my opinion. Your thoughts?

How bad to the Chicago Bears feel about trading for Chase Claypool right now?
Gerry Dulac
11:57
Very bad

If Broderick Jones or Paris J. Falls to around pick 12 do you think there could be a trade up? Those 2 are the only legit starting LT in the draft.  Harrison is prob a RT.
Gerry Dulac
11:57
I don't
