Do you think Dan Moore will be the starting LT come week 1? They are in some trouble if that’s the case.
Gerry Dulac
11:30
I think he will be. And I disagree with your assessment.
Jim
11:30
What do you think is taking so long on Dupree? Physical maybe? Seems like a no brainer, unless he wants big $.
Gerry Dulac
11:30
So long??? They haven't even met

11:31
Will the steelers acquire any compensation picks for the future draft in light of losing players this year?
Gerry Dulac
11:31
They also signed quite a few too. So, not especially
Jim
11:31
Do they have any interest in resigning D Watt?
Gerry Dulac
11:32
Not sure that they should for as much as they use him. He was the second-highest paid FB in the league, based on average salary, last year.
Jay Daven
11:32
Gerry, do you think the owners are boycotting any additional long term guaranteed deal with players, like the Watson fiasco?
Gerry Dulac
11:32
They should. Deals like Watson, Wilson and Murray received will cripple a franchise. Other owners aren't that stupid. Or desperate.
Jim
11:33
Is Lamar damaging his career similar to Bell by over estimating his worth?
Gerry Dulac
11:33
Could be.
Big Sid
11:33
Are you surprised that Terrell Edmunds couldn’t be more successful as a hybrid LB, covering TEs?  It seems like he could have been the cure to what has ailed us.
Gerry Dulac
11:33
I think if he were, they would've figured that out by now.
Paul from Sacramento

Hi Gerry, Love your chats and insight. I was wondering, every now and then there is a pretty good point made in these chats with you, Ray and Brian.. (certainly, with your "pay the man"..) do you think anyone in the Steeler front office or organization reads these chats, at least just to gather a little info?
Gerry Dulac
11:34
I know some people read them, but probably not Mike Tomlin I'm guessing. Hey, they might glean some good suggestions if they did.
Ryan
11:34
Gerry which Steelers player that isn’t signed comes back to us I’m thinking Boykin and any word when Dupree is coming for his visit
Gerry Dulac
11:35
I agree. Boykin is very good special teams player. They need to bring him back.

Hi Mr Dulac. When Noll had a weak secondary, he drafted Woodson, Hall, and Everett. In effect flooding the problem with 3 secondary guys.
Gerry Dulac
11:36
The draft was also 12 rounds then
Mercury
11:36
Do you think Edmunds reasons for signing with the Eagles had something to do with wanting to win a Super Bowl, not just have a winning season?
Gerry Dulac
11:36
That probably had something to do with it. That would help bring some sense to the move
Jim
11:37
Could Tomlin take the fall if Canada's Offense stinks it up like last season? I know there was an article out there that suggests it possibly wasn't his decision.
Gerry Dulac
11:38
No he won't. And it was his decision and his decision only. That article you cite is uninformed

11:38
Do you think Canada is flexible by adapting the offensive schemes to the strengths of the players he has or does he hold a system that is pretty much set in stone? What is your perception?
Gerry Dulac
11:39
It's a little of both. He tries to devise a game plan with plays the QB is comfortable with or likes. But he also uses formations he tends to like.
Jay Daven
11:39
Gerry, don't you think the reason why Tomlin's coaching tree is very limited because he gives young inexperienced coaches their first opportunity ?
Gerry Dulac
11:41
If that were true, then those young inexperienced coaches would rise through the ranks if they were any good.

Opps hit sent. I saw a good mock draft of Branch at 17, CB (Banks) and Ikia (massive nose tackle) at 49, thus flooding the secondary as Noll did, rather than one secondary guy. Then they could go WR in third, and OL in fourth. Thoughts on that idea?
Gerry Dulac
11:43
Two secondary guys not bad. But, once again, it would be failing to pay attention to a defensive line that needs a top pick, and they can't keep doing that.

11:43
Morning Gerry! Based on your insight, do you believe the front office is thumbs-up with Moore and will look at other positions during the draft?
Gerry Dulac
11:45
If they thought they could get a top-tier LT at No. 1, it wouldn't surprise me to see them do that. I don't think they are in panic mode about Dan Moore Jr., like the fans seem to be.

HI Gerry. If the Steelers are finding it difficult to extend Highsmith do you think they would consider trading him for a first round pick? Is he worth a first round pick?
Gerry Dulac
11:45
I don't think he is.

I’m a bit concerned where this team stands presently at WR. Am I crazy?
Gerry Dulac
11:46
Yes. Why are you concerned? They have three and, if need be, they could still add a veteran. Relax.
kevin in Punxsy
11:46
Hi Gerry.  In your opinion, if the top three OL, DL, and CB are gone before #17, would the Steelers possibly draft a top OLB, in case they have trouble signing Highsmith this off season?  Thanks,
Gerry Dulac
11:46
No.
Jr High
11:46
It could be a cap issue but why would the Jets not   pursue Lamar Jackson rather than possibly be left at the altar with Rodgers? Why not have a younger dynamic QB? Is it the money?
Gerry Dulac
11:47
I can't speak for them, but it's probably the money. And maybe his injury history too.
