Hey Gerry.  I keep hearing that keeping Tomlin around after 7 straight winless postseason is just how the Steelers and the Rooneys do things.  However, if my research is correct, the only coach to ever go winless in the postseason that long is Buddy Parker.  He never got a chance to fail for an 8th season in a row.  If/when Tomlin makes it 8 straight seasons, it will make history as no other coach has ever done that.  So how is it the Steelers Way when this is unchartered territory?

I’ve always been a Tomlin believer, but with all the changes to the roster, if this year does not produce a playoff win, will there be more changes but coaching ones? Or do all the changes give MT more time? Hope to have the steelers soon in mexico. Gracias!!!

There is no question these moves are designed for the Steelers to do something now, like, win at least a playoff game, if not more. And, if they don't, the heat on Tomlin will increase even more, though mostly from the fan base. And 2025 I see a Mexico visit

Have you grown to like these chats more over the years. It seemed like the writers thought this was beneath them for quite sometime. Younger writers are more enthusiastic, or at least hide it better because their mortgage balances are higher.

Scott, I never thought the chat was beneath me, though I'm not sure I have grown to like them any more or less over the years. I enjoy the by-play. I also think younger writers appear to be more enthusiastic because they also want to appear more engaging and knowledgeable. I don't worry about that.

No, they have their vet WRs with Quez Watkins and Van Jefferson. If they draft a WR high, which I expect, I think that will be the end.

Which NFL legacy will the Steelers Draft this year? Jenkins, Lassiter, Rice, McCaffery, Trotter, Gore. With the exception of Bush it seems to have usually paid off.

Hi Gerry. I’ve read a lot about Wilson’s hesitancy to throw to the middle of the field over his entire career. If that’s the case the tight end and slot receivers are useless. Is that your understanding and if so what does that do to the offense? I can’t tell you how many times I screamed at Pickett for not doing it.

That is not my understanding and I've never heard about it being a concern. You know, it gets crowded in the middle of the field, not so much on the outside.

He puts together the draft board. He has input on trades and free agents, but he doesn't make the decisions.

Are you able to play Oakmont very often?  I grew up nearby. I’ve played on two pga courses, TPC Scottsdale and Carnoustie. TPC wasn’t anything special.  Carnoustie was amazing!!

There are reports that Wilson is a "look at me" type of guy.  Haven't we had enough of that recently?  Why bring in a guy like that?  Mason was the exact opposite.  There are other options out there that are better team guys.
