Its looking more and more like the Steelers have set themselves up for taking the BPA in the draft.
Gerry Dulac
9:49
Well, it's more like BPA AT A POSITION OF NEED. There is none of that BPA and hasn't been for years and years.

Hey Gerry, thanks for the chats, and I love your articles too. Any chance we go after Devin White? I have to think he was who they originally wanted when they drafted Bush.
Gerry Dulac
9:49
I think they have signed their quota of inside LBs. Don't think you will see any more.

Good morning Gerry, why is there still talk about moving Chuks to LT?  I believe they tried that a few years ago in the preseason and it did not go well.  He's better at RT so keep him there.  They need to roll with Moore at LT or trade up in the first to get one of the top LTs in the draft.   I assume with all the OG signings they are not interested in bringing Feiler back?
Gerry Dulac
9:51
I don't think they will do it , either, even though Kevin Colbert said the Steelers thought Chuks was a better LT than RT when they drafted him. As for Feiler, that ship sailed too. Already signed their quota of guards.

Hi Gerry.  What round do you think the Steelers draft a WR and who are the likely picks?
Gerry Dulac
9:54
No higher than third, maybe 4th. Watch Jonathan Mingo.

Do you think the Steelers' reported interest in Josh Downs is legitimate?  It seems spending a premium 2nd Round pick for a WR with a 5'9" 171 lbs body type who ran 4.48 in the 40 is redundant when you already have a 5'8" 170 lbs WR who ran 4.32 in the 40 in Calvin Austin III.
Gerry Dulac
9:55
I don't think they will be using a 2nd round pick on a WR when they have other issues to address. And, yes, they already have that kind of guy with Austin.

If an offensive left tackle and a cornerback, both 1st round quality are available to the Steelers for their 1st round pick, which one do you take?
Gerry Dulac
9:56
I still think defense goes 1-2 in the draft

Hey Gerry!  Love my Steelers and the draft but Masters will always be my #1 sports weekend of the year. I’ve never liked Koepka but respect his game.  Think he comes off like a jerk but I agree with him 100% about slow play in the game. 5.5 hours is way too long.  I like to play in 4 “tops” and  that’s with a 4-some. Can/will the PGA modify like the MLB and enforce pace of play?  I know they are playing for $/history but Sunday had perfect weather.  I don’t need the hack in front of me thinking he’s cantlay or crane shooting 95. Agree or disagree?  Last, love Weidl and his belief of getting tougher in the trenches. About time!  Cheers bud

I doubt they will ever enforce the slow play across the board. But, it's not everyone who is slow. It's a handful of guys who think it's OK to talk to their caddy for 5 minutes before hitting the shot. They should all play as fast and as ready as Koepka.

Hi Gerry- any truth to the rumors of the Steelers moving up to 9? I wouldn’t give up any day 1 picks to do so…thoughts?
Gerry Dulac
10:00
You used the operative word -- rumors. Look, the Steelers explore trades all the time. They were looking to trade up last year to get Pickett, which would have been a big mistake.

Is the size of the Steelers coaching staff dictated by the front office or by Mike Tomlin?
Gerry Dulac
10:01
Little of both, though Tomlin said he is content with a small staff

Good morning Gerry. Having now lived in Nevada for 8 years, I've relied on the NFL package for the Steeler games. New prices out, very high. Do you feel they could get just a 1 team package? Thanks for taking my question
Gerry Dulac
10:01
I'm sorry, I don't know enough about the packages and what they offer to provide any insight

What do you see being the position the Steelers will.target in Rd 1 if the top OTs and CBs are selected before they pick?
Gerry Dulac

DL

Thank you for taking the time to chat Steelers Mr Dulac. With the free agent signings, what is the team's biggest area of need right now ?
Gerry Dulac
10:03
Same as it has been -- CB for sure and a stud DL.

Does Kenny Pickett work with a QB coach in the offseason? How much guidance does he get from the team on what elements of his game to work on in the offseason and how frequently is he allowed to work with Steeler coaches under the CBA?
Gerry Dulac
10:03
He's not allowed to work with the coaches until the offseason program begins. But he can watch film and workout there if he chooses.

I know theres been a lot of talk about trading down and even some of trading up from 17, what about trading up from 32? how likely do you think that is?
Gerry Dulac
10:04
I think that is more likely than trading up from 17
Gregg
10:05
Good morning. What all happens during a pre-draft visit? And on days when more than one player is scheduled do they arrive at the same time or do they schedule time for each player?
Gerry Dulac
10:05
They schedule time for each player to visit individually with the coaches.
Happy 412 day
10:05
If the Steelers are actually trying to move up in the 1st round, would they be targeting OT or CB?
Gerry Dulac
10:06
Who says they are trying to move up. Trust me, NOBODY would know that. NOBODY

If Tuipulotu is on the board at #80 is he an easy pick?  I'd like to finish Day 2 with Anton Harrison, Keanu Benton, Tuipulotu, and Joey Jr., but I don't think any of the top 3 DB's or tackles will be on the board at #17, and don't see Harrison getting by the Chiefs at the end of Day One.  Q1:  Is my wish list advisable? and Q2: If advisable is it doable?
Gerry Dulac
10:06
I think you wish list is just that -- wishing.

Hi Gerry as the Steelers Roster is currently constructed, what position(s) do you feel have the biggest holes to fill in the upcoming draft?
Gerry Dulac
10:07
Copy and paste -- CB for sure and a stud DL

The Steelers running game has been subpar.  This could be due to the RB, OL or the play calling. I’m not smart enough to know which but I’m guessing it’s probably some combination of all 3. Which do you think is the primary reason and do think they’ve done enough to fix it?
Gerry Dulac
10:07
Really? Sub par? I think that is being unduly critical and non-observant
