Hi, Garry, and thanks for your time and insight. I see this team making moves that are common sense, and proactive. If it all comes together, and they manage to get 3 or four rookie starters to join the roster from the top 49 picks, then from my estimation this team can be incredibly solid,  and do some damage this year.  I know that's a lot of "what if's'," but I honestly think they are doing a fantastic job of covering their 6 in a lot of areas. That being said, what are your thoughts on how the current brass is guiding the ship, because I'm impressed.

Hello . Thank you as always for the chat . Steelers have hired an addition to the coaching staff who has title of offensive assistant . He has worked as a coach with Falcons . Do you know what would be his role with Steelers since Steelers already have a QB coach ? Would he have any role in devising game plan ? Thank you very much .

I would imagine his role is to provide insight, ideas and evaluate. But don't think he will be taking over the offense.

Not at all. First of all, depends how bad the team is. Maybe they need an influx of new players. Secondly, the added benefit of having extra draft capital is the ability to package those picks to make a trade to move up in a round.

If I am Omar, I sign Mason Rudolph to a 3 year contract for $ 6 million and cut inconsistent and hardly uses his mobility anyway $ 8 million this year only Mitch Tribusky. Why doesn’t this make sense?

Why do I see some many "experts" predicting Johnson or Jones, the best OT, to the steelers at 17?   I just dont see 16 picks and only one of those getting taken.   Or are they not seen as being elite OTs by other teams?

Don't assume too much. I'm not going to rule out a LT by any stretch. It just depends who is still on the board and what their grades are on a particular player.

Hi Gerry! - I find it very interesting to be in our position with the 1st pick in the 2nd round. We get the 1st shot at the the players that were thought to be 1st round picks. Great opportunity to get a full day to reevaluate the draft board and perhaps take advantage of the time to get offers from other teams. Thoughts?
