If they do, it will be in training camp. If not, then it after the season with the franchise tag a possibility

Thanks for the chats! Seems like Steelers will be better no matter who they select at 17, but if teh top 3 CB and top 3 OT are gone, is there a position/pick which would make you say Oh No!?

I disagree on your assessment of Weidl.  Khan is a money guy, not in scouting.  Tomlin and Colbert essentially scouting and coach ran the draft poorly as of recent  The roster has not been balanced.  Weidl is here to correct that.  He would not be here to pass out some names and sit back, he could have done that in Philly.

Do you think that Jordan Speith will ever return to contending on a regular basis? It is ironic that he has 13 career Tour victories bur just 2 since he got married in 2018.

One Pittsburgh coach won two titles and missed the playoffs for the first time.  His seat is very hot.  Another Pittsburgh coach won one title (a very long time ago) and missed the playoffs three of the past five years.  His seat is secure for life.  Why the double standard?

Good Day Gerry.  I feel like the new FO team has done an outstanding job of plugging depth holes at multiple positions.  I would give them an A grade so far for the offseason. (do you agree?)   Also, in your opinion, what would Kahn & Weidl need to do between now and the end of the draft to maintain that A grade.  Thanks

Agreed. All drafts are graded on either hitting a home run or striking out with the No. 1 pick. And with two of the top 32, that becomes even more so. Hit a home run and get an A

CB is the more glaring need starter wise, but do you think the Steelers see it being possibly the deepest class in this draft like a lot of people do?

I think they do, but there's only a few at the top of the class. They don't need any cornerback. They need a top CB
