Can Metcalf now switch his number to #14?
Gerry Dulac
10:51
Now there's a good question.
Linebacker Lounge
10:52
What was the final straw.. Christmas Day being late (tired act), last year of contract or QB capital needed?
Gerry Dulac
10:52
I don't have enough room in this chat to list all his repeated team violations. The Christmas Day game was just another in a long line

Do you feel it would have been better served to try and play the season with Pickens and possibly trade him at the deadline?
Gerry Dulac
10:53
On paper, yes. In that locker room, no

Hi Gerry, what trait did the Steelers like the most when evaluating Will Howard?
Gerry Dulac
10:53
Played his best on the biggest stage

Are you surprised that the Steelers are only getting a 3rd round draft pick for Pickens?
Gerry Dulac
10:54
Not at all. They got a fifth for Antonio Brown. Hey fellas, this is George Pickens. I don't even see a Pro Bowl on his resume

Is Peyton Wilson the full time starter at LB or will he be in a rotational role with a run stuffing LB as he was last season with Roberts?
Gerry Dulac
10:55
He'll be the starter though the only problem (albeit a small one) is he and Queen are the same types of player.
Bob

What draft compensation do you think we could get if we trade Watt? Could we get a first rounder for him? He will be 31 and his stats are declining.
Gerry Dulac
10:55
Sure
Linebacker Lounge
10:55
Does this open the door for an Amari Cooper addition?
Gerry Dulac
10:56
I don't know about Cooper, but....

10:56
Gerry, hope every question today isn’t about Pickens….. so here’s mine. What really good receiver is still out there that the Steelers can put together a draft package to secure or do they stay as is?
Gerry Dulac
10:56
Actually, your question is about Pickens...

Morning Gerry, in light of the Pickins move do you think this affects Rodgers decision to sign with the Steelers (not that I want to see him here) ? Any Black and Gold smoke coming out of the AR mansion chimney?
Gerry Dulac
10:56
Nope
Silly in Philly
10:56
So the Steelers brass must figure- CA3 is going to grow 6 inches in the offseason, Robert Woods is going to turn back the hands of time 7 years and Roman Wilson is going to perform like a five year pro despite having no tape?
Gerry Dulac
10:57
I'm getting the sense you don't like the trade??
Jeff M
10:59
HI Gerry, I was 100% on board with trading pickens. But why now? This puts them in the same situation as last year, with only 1 good WR. Teams can now double DK and stack the box to stop the run.
Gerry Dulac
10:59
I hear ya
Dr Cornfedder
10:59
Gerry! You said at the draft trading Pickens “defeated the purpose” of the Metcalf trade. So what changed?
Gerry Dulac
10:59
That's what I said, not what they thought obviously

Good morning, Gerry: The national media is lauding the Cowboys and killing the Steelers for this trade. That just confirmed to me that this was the right move! What say you?
Gerry Dulac
11:00
You would think you learned your lesson about listening to the national media.

Hello Mr Dulac! Omar Khan and Mike Tomlin lied again. They talked up and down about pairing Metcalf with Pickens. What was really going on behind the scenes here?
Gerry Dulac
11:00
You're kidding....NFL coaches and GMs not always telling the truth?? Aghast

Hello Gerry, A third round pick?  Does that seem like the correct value?  I know he's a nut case, but I thought we would have gotten a 2nd round pick for him.  Maybe that's why he didn't get traded on draft day?
Gerry Dulac
11:02
Yes it does. Not everybody is as dumb as the Bears to give up a No. 2, not in the offseason. Maybe if this were November and a contender lost or needed a top receiver to make a playoff push, then you might have been able to get a No. 2. BTW, the deal didn't start to come about until a couple days ago. Was not seriously discussed on draft day

Gerry! Can’t wait to see you at Oakmont next month. Do you think Rooney was behind the Pickens trade. Because Tomlin has always publicly defended Georgie.
Gerry Dulac
11:07
Mike Tomlin and Omar Khan were behind the deal
John from kentucky
11:12
what’s the most likely option they will go with now that Pickens is gone? Trade for WR or sign one?
Gerry Dulac
11:12
I don't think you're going to see a trade for a WR. They did that weeks ago
MajorRick
11:12
Good morning, Gerry: With the WR room now down one body, any chance the Steelers kick the tires on Amari Cooper or Keenan Allen?
Linebacker Lounge
11:13
Couldn’t have picked a better trade spot, beside Canada. Jerry - George circus soon to be seen. Thank you Jerry - What say you?
Gerry Dulac
11:13
Anything is possible, is my answer to MajorRick's question. As for LL, agreed
MajorRick

Good morning, Gerry: Happy George Pickens chat day! Do you like the move, or would you rather they wait for a playoff-desperate team later in the season? I think it just goes to show you how much they can trust GP to be a model citizen throughout the season.
