Hi Gerry. I have a question about the how the game has changed. I see guys not throwing as well from the pocket as 20-30 years ago. Do you think that's because that's a less-needed skill to matriculate the ball down the field now that QB's can scramble but aren't really allowed to be hit? Thanks.

I think it's because of the speed and athleticism of DL these days. You don't have as much time to let receivers get open and throw. That's what led to the advent of the quick passing game

I predicted months ago the Steelers would open the season on Sunday or Monday night in Denver because of Russell Wilson's return.

As for the PGA, while never dismiss Scheffler and Rory is rolling, I like Koepka to repeat with guys like Fleetwood, Ben An, Cam Smith. Clark on the leaderboard but not winning.

What's your favorite off-the-field Steeler athletic factoid? Mine is Mike Webster and John Kolb both finishing in the Top 6 at Worlds Strongest Man in the same season, and Kolb beating winner Bill Kazmiar in Tug of War despite being outweighed by 85 pounds!
