Pro Football Network released their list of the Top 32 WR in the NFL for 2024. George Pickens did not make the list. Could you please make sure GP finds out about that, and tell us what number you would place him at? Thank you
Gerry Dulac
10:41
I'm sure someone told him. But his numbers don't necessarily put him among the top guys. But I would think among the top 32.

What is the infatuation with other teams' first round busts? Have any of them worked out for the Steelers during the Tomlin era?

I like the question from Bill in LA!  I would say Wilson = 7, Fields = 2, Rudolph = 7, and Pickett = 5.  I'd be curious to see what others feel!

A good one from Bill in LA

Hi Gerry, to finish out our roster I would sign Cam Sutton for the Slot once his legal issues are more clear, sign Markus Golden as our 4th OLB and trade for Courtland Sutton to get another proven WR even tho I believe we already have a #2 in Roman Wilson. If the Sutton trade doesn’t play out then get Burks from TN for next to nothing - atleast then you have a big, athletic body outside with untapped potential - you okay with that plan to finish this team? Thank you!

Not a bad plan Zach

What former steelers do u think should be in the hof that ain't

It appears the steelers recognize they need another WR. Is the lack of interest from other teams due to the steelers low offers ? And would khan be willing to part with say a 2025 first for a big name ?
Gerry Dulac
10:42
Maybe it's because of the other team's outlandish asking price.

Hi Gerry. Can you clear up why Mason Rudolph didn't come back even though he ended the year as the starter and got them to the playoffs? This was his only opportunity to be a battle for QB1.
Gerry Dulac
10:44
One reason -- Russell Wilson. The Steelers obviously believed they needed a new QB to get them where they want to go. Once he was signed, it looked as though it would be Wilson 1, Pickett 2. No need for mason to stick around as the No. 3 QB again

Hello Gerry. Have you played the Union League course just outside Philly? If so, what's your favorite hole?
Gerry Dulac

No

I don't see us paying Wilson and Fields starting money next year, and I don't think either of them will take back up money. So, who sticks as our starting QB next year in your opinion?
Gerry Dulac
10:46
I don't think any team was going to pay Fields starting money, which is how he ended up here. As for next year, that is TBD. But, I have told you, it is the intention of the Steelers and Wilson to do a new contract after the season. And I don't think they traded for Fields to be a one-year rental.

Morning! Question. Why are fans so concerned about Cam’s salary? Isn’t it good planning to be prepared to bring someone in last-minute (Highsmith restructure) but pay Cam this year vs. the old “kick the can down the road” scenario that way if they cut ties after the season, his contract is cleared? Also, looking at 2025, this team might be able to build a monster as they’ll still be in great shape, even if they have to pay Russ, Justin or even both. Thanks

Somebody pay this guy!!

Hello. Thank you for taking my question. Give us a W-L prediction if we go into the season with no new WR's, and a W-L prediction if we go in with a proven vet starter like Cortland Sutton.

Wow! I didn't realize Tomlin is 0-7-1 in his last 8 games against rookie Head Coaches. What is that an indication of?
Gerry Dulac

Of a good stat

Why were Mitch's numbers so much worse there than here (Chicago)? He had about twice as many TD passes as picks here and went to a Pro Bowl. Why didn't it work out, and what happened with that Diontae Johnson halftime mix-up during the Jets game? Here We Go. -Nick in Chicagoland.

He was always looking over his shoulder from the time they drafted Pickett and the hysteria that surrounded the selection. Yanking him at halftime of game 4 only made the problem worse, especially when he didn't start the argument with DJ

Hi Gerry. What do you think made Chuck Noll so great? I think it has to be his pragmatism. His players lashed out at him, threatened to quit, sued him, badmouthed him to the press, demanded trades (Bradshaw at least twice)... and he never let any of it effect his roster or playing time decision. He knew he had to be more mature than his players. What a rare quality in football and elsewhere. What say you?

Do you think Conor Heyward will find a spot in Smith’s offense or even on the roster?
Gerry Dulac
10:51
I think he will but I don't think it will be anything significant, unless Smith likes H-backs

Gerry, you said Payton Wilson was steal in the draft and I agree. Last year you said Washington was a steal. Now after his first year, do you still feel that way?
Gerry Dulac
10:51
Not when I saw his knees.
Good memory, though, Tom. But I did say, he could be the steal of the draft.

A lot of AFC teams have really improved and sneaking into the playoffs won't be as easy as it's been the past few years. Can you agree that the pressure is on for Mike Tomlin to have some success in the post-season. If there are no playoff wins this year is Mike Tomlin "officially" on the hot seat for 2025?
Gerry Dulac
10:52
Of course, especially after all the moves they made this offseason. They were done for one reason -- to get into the playoffs and win.

Happy Wednesday Gerry ! Now that you are able to see the team (even is football in shorts) what are your opinions on Arthur Smith? Thanks 🙏🏽
Gerry Dulac

Ask me in October. Shorts don't count for anything

Do you think, with the Steelers schedule projected to be one of the hardest in the league, that even if they are improved it will be difficult for them to match last season's record as things stand today?

What looks hard now could turn out to be easier than everyone thought
