The main reason I hear for keeping Tomlin way too long is stability.  Isn't winning better than stability?  He wasn't been a winner (not even a single playoff game) in a long time.

Hello Gerry, thank you for making the time to chat.  Did you ever interact with Steelers scout Mark Gorscak ? Also, how much access does the media have with the scouting department  ? Who has been their most significant UDFA signing in your time covering the team ?

Yes I did. I go back with Mark to the days of the birth of Arena Football when he was with the Pgh Gladiators. But the media has almost no access to the scouting department because most of the scouts are always out of town.

Hi Gerry. On paper the Steelers have as much talent as any team in the NFL. It seems to be the quarterbacks who determine the good from the bad teams. How many wins does a good quarterback represent compared to a not as good quarterback?

the browns and ravens have improved. Bengals haven’t regressed. I like what the Steelers have done but I don’t think it is enough to get them out of the afc north cellar.  Are we looking at another looking at another ‘successful’ season measured  measured by not having a losing record?

Why would Tomlin even be considered a Hall of Fame coach?  Only 4 of his 16 seasons had a postseason win.  In contrast, 8 of Cowher's 15 seasons had a postseason  I know the Hall of fame standards have lowered recently, but are they that low?
