Do you think we still need to add one more ILB to have a complete off season? Moves have been great so far, although to be fair to KC, we did have more cap room this year than most.

If they add an ILB, it's purely as a backup. There will be no looking for starters, unless there is an injury.

Outside of ILB where a solid platoon player has yet to be signed, it would seem that both starters and platoon talent has either upgraded or maintained in all areas of the defense.  Granted Peterson is an older option at corner and our newest pair of ILB's is as of yet unproven.  Assuming that all told these are in fact upgrades, would you expect a top-10 performance from the defense this year given the already known talents of Watt, Minkah and Heyward?

I think the defense took steps to be better, especially by drafting Porter and Benton, in addition to the free-agent moves. The key will be how well those ILBs play.

On paper we have all the pieces in place to compete with the best of the AFC, so it will all boil down to the OC and Pickett. Can they both perform above the line to win the division? I feel good about Pickett, not so much about the OC, what do you think?

I wouldn't go so far as to think they can hang with the best teams in the AFC. But I think they will be better and can sneak into the postseason. The OC is the biggest question heading into the season.

Monte the Mullet looks like a modern day Rocky Bleier, in terms of being a big crowd favorite. Is there room on the roster for him and Heyward both? Have you heard about any conversations with Derek Watt about coming back if things don't work out for these guys in camp?

I don't think you want to sit around and wait for Derek Watt to come back. There is no reason to think he will. Nor should there be one

Koepka sure didn't sound like he was ambassador-ing for LIV Sunday. He even admitted he took the long yard against being able to get healthy again. 5 majors already. Is he really the best out there?

Fair enough on KP's biggest improvement last season.  Where then do the coaches see his biggest area of need for the upcoming season?  Is it his pocket passing? Intermediate routes etc?  Just hoping to get a gauge on where coaches are most looking to see growth with their young QB in '23?

Many have said the Steelers season will go as Kenny goes.  From a player perspective, I get that.  However, we still have the same coach (and staff) that struggles to develop players, struggles bad at developing leaders and forming a team first mentality, and has very predictable game plans and play calls.  With all those warts, do one player really matter that much?

Nope. He plays the most important position on the defense and is one of the best.

I'm not sure if it's better, we'll see. I liked Jack and Spillane was a dependable, solid backup against the run.
