Gerry, saw Ray F prediction of 17 TDs for Ben and tons of handoffs. Was he joking? IMO, this is still Ben's team and the strength is the QB and recovers with help from an improved running game.

But let me add this -- despite what people who have no idea think, he has come to camp in great shape for about the last 4 or 5 years. People seem to forget this is a big man -- 6-5, 250 who wears a rib protector during a game

Since no one has picked up Nelson safe to say maybe the steelers know what they are doing on players they see declining?  We do need some depth though, who would you rather see, Nelson back or Sherman in Steelers uniform?

I don't think his inability to sign with another team is an indication his play is declining. It's more about teams waiting to see where they are with the cap and their position depth once they get near training camp. There are a lot of good veteran players still sitting out there who are unsigned. He will latch on.
