That's up to the Steelers
The Standard is 9-8
10:31
any evidence of putting Minkah in a better place to make plays or is the high impact version of him done and he just guards against deep balls?
Gerry Dulac
10:32
I hate to tell you, they've been trying to do that for 2 years

Thanks for the chat Gerry.  I’m just wondering how’s the vibe with the passing of Wolf?  I went to a couple of men’s fantasy camps and some youth camps with my boys just to have them see the Steeler pride and family vibe with Tunch & Wolf. The other staff was always great and fed off of them throughout just as the broadcast team seemed to. So, with that said, I’m assuming there’s a different feel in a way?
Gerry Dulac
10:33
The feel is they are missed very badly. Forget about them as players and/or broadcasters. They were great human beings who made everyone around them feel better

Is Tomlin's seat warm at all? or is there anything that would make it hot?  Seems to me these personal decisions he makes last few seasons blow up in his face. Both Rooney and Tomlin has referenced that doing the same thing over and over again is insanity, yet seems to me that is exactly what they are doing...
Gerry Dulac
10:34
It depends who you ask. People around here believe he is not only on a warm seat, but a very hot seat, and that is just not the case. And I don't think Tomlin and Art Rooney have talked about the insanity of it all. The fans do that.

It's obvious the Steelers do not care about looking desperate and a laughingstock to the rest of the league with the way they handled the QB situation. Does the front office know something that we don't?
Gerry Dulac
10:35
Hate to tell you Greg, they care more than you and everyone else.

I'm so tired of the Rodgers drama.  Yes he's probably better than Mason but he's a 1 year player and the drama surrounding him just isn't worth it.  Whether he blesses the Steelers with his presence or not, the team still isn't ready for a playoff run let alone what used to be the goal - a Super Bowl - so when people ask me my thoughts on him showing up, my resposne is "I don't care".
Gerry Dulac
10:35
Atta boy. I like that demeanor
Random Thought
10:35
Hi, Gerry. A random thought I had, and I don't even know if you'd know, but if a player gets hurt during the season do they get worker's compensation? Or do they just continue to get paid their salary? Just curious as to how some of the behind-the-scenes stuff work. Thank you!
Gerry Dulac
10:36
If they keep him on the roster, then he gets the salary owed him.

I would like to read more about the Steelers first round pick and less about their sixth round pick and an old QB who used to be good (note past tense) Your thoughts on Derrick Harmon?
Gerry Dulac
10:37
I like the pick a lot. Good player, good kid

Good Morning Gerry,                                                                 Which position group are you most looking forward to watching progress during training camp and as the season unfolds?                                                                                           Also love how you give smart aleck answers to the annoying people who come on here to argue
Gerry Dulac
10:38
I like to refer to it as "snarky." QB, of course, always gets everyone attention, but I want to see what they do with the young guys on the defensive line

GM Gerry. Do you reckon Gainwell knew he was signing on to be 3rd string when he agreed to his deal?
Gerry Dulac
10:38
I reckon he did

What’s your favorite away game venue/city to visit?  I do miss your roadtrips with Ed… always great chats.
Gerry Dulac
10:39
Probably Indy. Easy to get around, love the restaurants, greatest media parking in the league

Has any team tried to put a Sumo wrestler on the line?  Seems like it would be a good fit.  Do you think that can work?
Gerry Dulac
10:39
As long as he's not called for holding

There’s been a few articles around about Broderick looking quicker… weight loss or maybe some off season footwork and more attention to snap get off?
Gerry Dulac
10:40
Wait until the games start. It's not even training camp practice. He should look quicker in shorts and T-shirt

Hi Gerry,  Is Tomlin on track for 3 playoff wins in the last 17 seasons by the end of his "highly compensated" contract?  Most of it with Big Ben in his prime? So ill prepared the team gets blown out by halftime in the playoffs? In what world is that Hall of Fame coaching? Seriously?
Gerry Dulac
10:40
Well, it isn't.
Yogi in Yonkers
10:41
You have to hand it to the Steeler organization in one respect. Very few players they've given up on have gone on to great success elsewhere. Like the Giants must be kicking themselves for letting Saquon get away. Who would you say their biggest regrets are? Woodson? Merriweather?
Gerry Dulac
10:42
They thought Woodson's injuries had him in decline, but they were wrong. Dan Rooney regretted letting Franco walk away. Merriweather? Oh well. Kinda like Faneca. Those are very rare instances.

Good morning Mr. Dulac. I hope your day is great. All the consternation over a QB who isn't signed.  My concern is that regardless of of who the QB is, doesn't it make sense to enhance the WR room before the start of the season.  If either QB is going to succeed, the more receiving weapons the better? Or am I wrong?
Gerry Dulac
10:43
No you are not. But it you don't have a QB who can accurately and consistently get them the ball, then it doesn't matter how many good receivers you have. Great receivers don't make a QB better. But a great QB makes receivers better

Is the UFL a subsidiary of the NFL? If a guy is really lighting it up, can a NFL team bring him in like a free agent?
Gerry Dulac
10:43
Sure. But it's not a subsidiary
Doyle37
10:43
If the steelers draft a QB next year, does the QB room then look like Rudolph, Howard and draft pick ?
Gerry Dulac
10:44
Probably a good chance of that

10:44
Gerry, Is Boswell the best kicker in Steeler history? And, what is his worth come next year when contract negotiations begin?
Gerry Dulac
10:44
That's not even in question, though Gary Anderson was very good

A lot of quarterbacks who were high draft picks turned out to be busts. What makes Tomlin so confident that the 2026 draft has the Steelers next (“ can’t miss”) franchise quarterback?
Gerry Dulac
10:45
With few exceptions -- Manning Luck -- we have learned there is no such thing as a can't-miss QB

Hi Gerry, Based on your knowledge and being around the team, if there was a straw poll done in the locker room on who should be QB, Rodgers or Rudolph, what would your guess be on the results. I know that MT is making the decision, and clearly he thinks Rodgers is worth more wins.
