The poll would show they want the QB who gives them the best chance to win. Obviously, the Steelers believe that is Rodgers

Hey Gerry. Fans buy the tickets and merch. Give their opinions all year thru chats. Many times their take is ahead of the Steelers decisions. Do fans opinions affect some of the actual steeler decisions at any time?
Gerry Dulac
10:46
Mikey, hope I don't disappoint you -- NOT AT ALL.

What percentage chance that Leal makes this year's roster?
Gerry Dulac
10:46
Still pretty good

What happens if Kenny Pickett lights it up in Cleveland and they kick the Steelers butt twice this season? Someone has to take the blame for it not working out in Pittsburgh, no? I vote for Dan Moore.
Gerry Dulac
10:47
I doubt that will happen

Chances Steelers bring in Amari Cooper before camp?

Ya never know

Morning Gerry. I’ll say it again and again. Omar and Tomlin failed by not resigning fields.  Even if it meant overpaying a little.  We have tons of cap space and there is still a “chance” he can be the guy moving forward - albeit small but 100% better than Rodgers.  It’s disappointing we’re almost into June and no word yet.  Maybe all the rain is making me salty but once fields didn’t come back, I knew we were going to be screwed.  Stay dry bud.
Gerry Dulac
10:49
Zamo, I wouldn't base on your feelings on Justin Fields. Not exactly like letting Ben walk away to another team. Just because the most dysfunctional team in the league paid $40 million for the guy doesn't mean that was the going rate

In my opinion, when Rudolph was here before his major knocks were poor pocket presence and not terribly accurate (hitting a crossing receiver in stride).  Do you think he has improved in these areas or was I off base to begin with?
Gerry Dulac
10:49
Let me say this, you're just far enough off base that you are in danger of being picked off

open winner?

You'll have to wait a couple more weeks for it to be revealed, but I have already made my pick

Good morning!  I wanted to provide an update. Aaron Rodgers is somewhere.   The only thing we know is that it isn't likely at the UPMC complex. That is the update for the day!!

Hi Gerry,  Do you view the Steelers 1st 3 games ---  @Jets / vs.Seahawks / @Patriots --- as all winnable?  Could they go 0-3?
Gerry Dulac
10:51
Winnable? What do you think?

Are Steelers alumni/legends spending time with the team this year in the pre-season? At what capacity?

Do you think a TJ extension gets done in the preseason? People thinking he might want to leave to compete for a SB should remember JJ tried that and it didn't work out that well. A lot of players would love to be with a team that is in the playoffs most years.
Gerry Dulac
10:54
I'm sure they will. That's my answer to Mass Fan. As for Guest, the answer is yes I do

Golf question- I realize they are trying to hype the FedEx Cup, but it seems like putting the PGA Championship in May, followed two weeks later by Tge Menorial, followed two weeks later with the US Open is too crowded. Then the British Open hits in July, and then the majors (and a lot of interest) are over. Is FedEx Cup really that interesting to have ruined the golf calendar?
Gerry Dulac
10:55
I don't know they they have. They moved the PGA for two reasons -- 1) to get it away from the start of NFL and college football; 2) and to make it so March (Players), April (Masters), May (PGA), June (US Open) and July (Open) each had a major event

I'm  happy to look at history and predict the inevitable ... In 2023, Mason Rudolph started his first three games in two years, won them all and carried to team into Buffalo for a playoff game.  His untimely interception in the end zone did-in the club.  I predict he carries his success onto the field in 2025. He starts and wins the first several games, as he shows his mettle!  And Gerry, you are a guy who knows mettles!

Good Morning Mr. Dulac. Love your chats!  We are in the second day of OTAs and someone who is not under contract is not there.  Is our season doomed?   While I question the desire of a player who has taken this long to decide if he wants to play, does his absence from voluntary workouts really seal the fate of our season before June even starts?   Or is this just another way that we can let our stomachs churn and work in our next ulcer before the first game in September?
Gerry Dulac
10:57
Mason saved their 2023 season, basically all by himself. He deserves all the credit in the world for that. And IUPDave, relax. Too early to worry about being doomed

Gerry there is a lot of animosity towards Rodgers. Is it deserved or should people lay off and let the guy talk with a football?
Gerry Dulac
10:59
Hey, I get it. I wasn't in favor of it three months ago. But he is Aaron Rodgers and let's see what happens, though I'm not expecting a lot

I am sick of the Aaron Rodgers questions so here is a fun one. Who do you think is the most impactful offensive and defensive players in Steelers history? I would say Franco on offense or Terry and Mean Joe on defense.
Gerry Dulac

Good picks

Gerry, love the chats. Could you clarify the rough situation at Oakmont. 5” or 7”? There seems to be debate on this.
Gerry Dulac

There is no debate. It will be topped at 5 inches for the Open

Outside looking in, it seems like the Front Office made decisions to change the character amongst the team as a whole.(Trade aways, cuts, the players drafted).  But Aaron Rodgers is still part of the plan?   Doesn’t jibe.   Conceding to high profile egos hasn’t really worked in the past.  Just a bad look all around.

Happy Wednesday Gerry! I know is football in shorts season but is there anyone (rookie or veteran ) that caught you the eye??

No

Gerry, last round and a player is up one but his opponent who is one back stripes one on 17 to be only 30 yards out. Do you go for it or lay up?
