OK kids, let's get our chat started before OTAs begin. Go...!!!!

If the Defense falters again who will be the scapegoat?
Gerry Dulac
9:55
There's only one -- Mike Tomlin.

Do you get tired of having these chats all the time and constantly answering what seems like the same stupid yinzer questions?
Gerry Dulac
9:55
Now, what would give you that idea...???

Hi Gerry, are you the head Steelers writer now that Ed left? Also, I really enjoyed the videos you two made for the PG with Ed and my granddad was saying that you and he probably had a falling out. I hope that isn't true. You were friends for a long time and it is never worth carrying on a grudge with a friend. Thanks, Gerry!
Gerry Dulac
9:59
My friend Ed is still my friend Ed, and I will miss him on our videos. As for a falling out, the only falling out we had was when Ed's luggage fell out of the back of the car. Ed moved on to the Athletic with nothing but good memories of the PG. Tell your grandpap to rest easy. I may even sneak Ed into a video this year.

Have you been going to steelers OTAs? If so, have you noticed anything good from JT Jones?    He went to Miami U and played in the AAF.
Gerry Dulac
9:59
I have been, but I'll be honest, it's really tough to say anyone stands out when playing in shorts and no hitting blocking or tackling.

ILB seems to be a bit crowded (if you throw Barron in that group). Who makes the 53 man roster, who makes the practice squad and who gets the ax?
Gerry Dulac
10:01
ILBs -- Vince Williams, Devin Bush, Mark Barron and Tyler Matakevich/Sutton Smith. Ulyssess practice squad.

Richie Incognito, Vontez Burfict, Antonio Brown...how terrible is that locker room in Oakland gonna be?
Gerry Dulac
10:01
They're gonna need Mary Poppins.

Mr. Dulac,    were you at the Masters this year?  Was the Tiger win one of the greatest moments golf has ever seen? And is Tiger back or was that just a groovy blip on an otherwise wack radar?
Gerry Dulac
10:02
I was and it was. I'll withhold the sentiment that he's back. That was a perfect storm for him, winning at Augusta.

Why can't the media leave Big Ben alone?
Gerry Dulac
10:02
It's the national media. And former players.

helloi'm steelers fan from overseas in Denmark. it is hard to watch tema on television set here. Will Jim Conner be the top running back player for the Steelers during the 2019 season and is Ben Snell Jr a good player too from draft day round 4 pick 122? thank you dulac.
Gerry Dulac
10:03
Yes, James Conner will be the top RB. No question. And they like Benny Snell. I do too. He will be a nice third RB.

Gerry, I know it’s probably all sour grapes and axe’s to grind with all the criticism of Roethlisberger, but with smoke billowing like the Clairton Coke Works, is there any fire?
Gerry Dulac
10:04
If there is smoke, it's been billowing for years. And it doesn't seem to have affected the team's performance. They seem to follow Ben right to the end zone.

Hi Gerry, have you ever played golf at Augusta? Also, what is the nicest course you have ever played on?  I'm assuming you play golf, but maybe you don't.
Gerry Dulac
10:05
Yes I have and it's right up there.

Good day Gerry! What's the one thing that excites you when football season starts?
Gerry Dulac
10:05
That all the offseason nonsense, including camp, is over

Is the CFL still a pretty good league? Back in the day a lot of great players cut their teeth their and had great careers there. Who would you say is the greatest CFL player of all time?
Gerry Dulac
10:06
Sorry, I don't follow it enough to offer an opinion. But Warren Moon probably would be greatest of all time.

Gerry, did you ever have the pleasure of interviewing Bruno Sammartino when he was alive? He was a gentle giant and a terrific in-ring performer.
Gerry Dulac
10:13
I did and he's one of the greatest. I grew up watching him, at the Civic Arena and Palisades in McKeesport. One of my cool thrills was, when I got to meet him, he actually knew who I was. Imagine that.

Good morning , more "made up" drama, I wonder who really cares what Joey Porter thinks? as I season ticket holder I sure don't.so much of this garbage is thrown upon this club and not of their doing. im nauseated. ready to see this club rebound, and they will.
Gerry Dulac
10:13
Nobody does. Why doesn't someone go interview Jason Worilds
BigEd
10:13
Have you got to check out the rookie kicker Matthew Wright as of yet?
Gerry Dulac
10:15
I've watched him. But watching and judging how guys kick in practice is like watching guys hit balls on the practice range at the U.S. Open. It doesn't matter what they do there. It matters what they do when the pressure is on and it counts.

Hi Gerry!, Assuming that Aaron Donald continues to perform at his current level for the next 3-4 years, would he be considered the best defensive player to come out of Western PA?  Only other one I could think of that would be in his league would be Jack Ham.
Gerry Dulac
10:15
You might be able to make that argument some day. Right now, it's still Dobre Shunka

Oh Orical of the Ohio,  Maji of the Monongahela, Allah of the Allegheny:  Gaze into your crystal ball and name the 11defensive starters for the New England game.  Thank you.
Gerry Dulac

Heyward, Tuitt, Hargrave, Dupree, Watt, Williams, Bush, Haden, Nelson, Edmunds, Davis

Mike Hilton has been a solid contributor to our defense. Do you see the Steelers paying him what he deserves?
Gerry Dulac
10:17
No.

What’s your take on Justin Layne? I know it’s early but do you think he’ll get the chance to see significant playing time this season?
