I know they will give him a chance to get some playing time, but it might be limited. Definitely on special teams

Do you see Artie Burns being traded or do you think they’ll keep him this year for depth?
Gerry Dulac
10:18
I think training camp will speak to that. They are hoping maybe he can help with depth but they are not exactly counting on it.

What the best restaurant in PGH? I'm gonna be there on business next week. And don't say Primanti Bros. We have that in my town now. Thank you.

Are you expecting special teams to take a step forward this season, and if so, what makes the difference?
Gerry Dulac
10:20
Different personnel. Young guys who can run and tackle.

Old timer, do you think the Steelers will make a real effort to becoming more balanced on offense this season?? In particular, do you see the return to a power running game?? BTW, I love your sense of sarcasm...😎
Gerry Dulac
10:23
"Return" is a relative term. It is not going to be a focal point of the offense. Ben is that. And I don't think you're going to see any change how they did it the past couple years. Don't think you're going to see an emphasis on "power" running. But I'm sure they would like a little more balance. That, of course, will depend on the defense. If they can't protect leads, then BR will need to keep throwing.

Are the Steelers better off against the Patriots this year even without antonio brown now that the patriots no longer have gronk?
Gerry Dulac
10:23
We shall see. It will be to Steelers advantage to not have to worry about Gronk.

Good morning Gerry, thanks for the chat. Do you think there's any chance the Steelers kick the tires on former SF tackle Anthony Davis?  Seems like it would be relatively cheap for a back up with proven success at the NFL lwvel
Gerry Dulac
10:24
No.

Would like to know your opinion on Bud Dupree. I'm not a fan, but obviously the Steeler coaches see something. What might that be?
Gerry Dulac
10:24
I'm not sure myself. I think I would like him more at $5.5 million, not $9.5 million

Hey Gerry.. Thanks for the chats. I definitely don't think its controversy at all, but from what I pick up, Mason Rudolph is not thrilled about the position he is in. What are your thoughts?
Gerry Dulac
10:25
You picked up incorrectly

What do you think of my advice for the NFLPA headed into new contract discussions:
1) Pay for players on injured reserve, or at least catastrophic injuries, no longer counts against the salary cap.
2) Change the franchise tag to where the first 2 years of a 4+ year deal do not count towards the salary cap (or at least counts only fractionally).
3) Tie the fund for players who outperform their contracts to some discount against the salary cap in a renewed long-term contract.
4) Give up on changing Goodell's crazy discipline policy. It's terrible, but it's not worth giving up cold hard cash to change it.

Who's the Steelers' MVP this season, besides Big Ben?  Also, will our defense be a "top 10" defense this season?

I think that the Steelers made a nice move in getting Boswell to "delay"  his $2 mil bonus until the 1st Reg season game. Best of both worlds?  Your thoughts?
Gerry Dulac
10:27
Very wise move indeed. It wasn't hard to convince him. They were going to cut him if he didn't.

Do you see a difference in attitude/culture in this team from previous years? or too early to tell?
Gerry Dulac
10:29
Way too early. But, I'll be honest, I think anyone who says they see a change in culture this year will be saying that just to sound good. Trust me, it will not be discernible, mainly because there is nothing wrong with the culture that one defensive stand in the final four losses, or just one Chris Boswell field goal, wouldn't cure.

As I recall, NE got off to a slow start last year?  Can we help them repeat that?
Gerry Dulac
10:30
This might be the year. I'm already predicting a Steelers victory. Remind me in September.

Gerry, big Ham fan, but how about a certain corner from Aliquippa in that best player from western PA discussion?
Gerry Dulac
10:30
You can put him in the discussion, but the answer still remains the same.

Is there a scenario where you see Williams, Bush and Barron on the field together very often?
Gerry Dulac
10:31
No. If Barron and Bush are on the field, Williams is not

if you had a time machine to bring any ex/retired player back to this current team who would it be?
Gerry Dulac
10:31
Mel Blount

Liked the article on Dobbs and Rudolph...loved the 'I don't see myself as the #1 this year' line. An obvious statement, but you have to love his attitude, yes?
Gerry Dulac
10:31
Indeed
10:32
OK, kids, we out of time. Thanx for the questions. Off to OTAs....
