Good Morning Gerry.  Have you heard any rumblings on what Dionte Johnson is seeking contract wise.  Based on some of the ridiculous contracts this spring, I am guessing north of $20M per.  I don't see the Steelers going there though.  Any insight?

I'm with you. I think what he has in mind for a new deal is not what the Steelers and probably the rest of the league has in mind.  He is not viewed as a big-time, game-changing WR  who commands one of those monster deals. Then again, I NEVER underestimate the desperation or foolishness of some NFL GMs.

I don't think they will do a deal with DJ before the season. I think he wants to test the free agent market to see if he can one of those big deals.

I think that's what will be the real key here. He won't have a leash like Roethlisberger, that's for sure. The Steelers will be looking for chances to get Pickett in the game, especially if they are not winning. I'm not saying Trubisky will be yanked at the first sign of trouble, but the Steelers won't just sit there and let him play through some struggles like they did with Ben

It's no wonder that Lefty was pushing for the LIV entity, he didn't deny that he received $200,000 to join and add his name to their list of players.  I dont have a problem with it FB and BB players jump all the time.

Do you expect it to be quiet until training camp now that Minka is signed. Who gets signed next and do they look at signing FAs during camp for rusher and RB anything else?

Probably. If something doesn't get done in the next week or two, I think it will be quiet till camp

I understand those who say we could have gone a different way on draft day. But I love the aggressive way the Steelers address the QB position. Hope it works.
