Gerry, does it seem like the offense is actually throwing it down the field, middle of field, and intermediate routes more this year than previous years under Canada so far?
Gerry Dulac
10:39
Maybe, but cant say definitively. They always practice those deep throws. Just depends what they choose to work on that day in camp.
Yates
10:39
Does the former WVU safety look light to you Gerry?
Gerry Dulac
10:39
Kenny Robinson? No.

Who di you think will be the most improved player on the Steelers roster this year?  Wants sme pizza?
Gerry Dulac
10:40
DeMarvin Leal
Yates
10:40
Legitimate not light. Yes Robinson
Gerry Dulac
10:40
Ahhhh...need to see him in a game. It's way too early in camp.
Chuck Noll
10:44
Any chance Minkah is having a quiet hold out?
Gerry Dulac
10:44
Nope. And why would he after the contract he signed???
Yates
10:44
Curious why you are zeroed in on Leal as most improved. Make your case.
Gerry Dulac
10:45
You asked, I told you. No need to explain

Any surprises in camp? Perhaps a UDFA who has caught the coaches eye?
Gerry Dulac
10:46
Alfonzo Graham, RB
Ed in Carrick
10:46
Do you see the team using the 13 formation often?  Seems that would be ideal to confuse defenses as to run/pass
Gerry Dulac
10:46
I do, I do
Derek
10:46
Gerry, what’s your afc north 1-4 prediction
Gerry Dulac
10:46
Bengals, Steelers, Ravens, Browns. Have I mentioned the Browns haven't finished with a better record than the Steelers in 35 years?? 35!!!
Derek
10:47
What is the best off the field camp story you can share?
Gerry Dulac
10:47
Derek, that would take too much time to think of one. I've been to a lot of camps.

Hi Gerry, what do you think happens with the star RBs around the League? Could you see a hold out issue coming in to play later in camp or the pre-season?
Gerry Dulac
10:50
They can hold out all they want. Not going to change anything. RBs have a short shelf in the NFL because they take a beating. Teams aren't going to invest in one long-term because it's a risky financial move. People are missing the point. The RB position isn't being devalued; the RBs are. As you have seen around the league, you can find a good one on the 3rd, 4th, 5th rounds. Najee Harris will have a tough time getting a second contract in 2026

Gerry, now that Trice has experienced the dreaded non-contact injury, do you see them going out and making another addition to the position? The top guys are gone, but there is still some talent out there.
Gerry Dulac
10:50
Maybe, but not a starter-type. Maybe a depth guy
Ed in Carrick
10:51
Will the team keep 3 RB (not counting Heyward) or will it be 3 counting Heyward. Also, does McFarland seem to have that role locked up when looking at the room now.
Gerry Dulac
10:51
It will be three plus Heyward.
Yates
10:51
Do beat writers have opportunities to chat with coaches about substantive matters off the record during camp?
Gerry Dulac
10:51
Yes. Well, at least some do.

Thank you for your time Gerry!  ILB question.  James Farrior took 2 full seasons before he became the ILB we know and love nad he had NFL experience when James came to the Steelers.  It seems like a tall task to expect a lot of production in the first season for the FA, ILBs.  Is hoping they don't look like a weakness w/o being the leaders on defense a reasonable expectation?  Thanks Much!
Gerry Dulac
10:52
Not unreasonable at all. They all have proven NFL experience, which is a plus

Pickens flashes early and often, is he the star playing we’ve been missing on offense to threaten defenses?
Gerry Dulac
10:53
There's no question about that
SteelerOne
10:53
With no proven stars on offense and the current OC, seems like we are a 9-11 range team, maybe even a playoff win. But we are not in the top tier, Is a wildcard win and done expectation realistic?
Gerry Dulac
10:53
I think it is.
SteelerOne
10:54
Who’s your sleepers on offense and defense that you think are likely to have a bigger impact this coming season?
Gerry Dulac
10:54
Connor Heyward on offense
And Isaiah Loudermilk on defense.
SteelerOne
10:54
Are we the second best team in our division?
Gerry Dulac
10:54
Perhaps
Bob

I know it’s only been a week but does anything stick out that’s different about this team compared to the last few years?
