Morning Gerry!!! From what you have seen with this roster so far in camp, how optimistic would you be for the upcoming season if a 30 year old Ben Roethlisberger was going to be behind center?

Not as optimistic as I was when he actually was 30 and they started 6-3. But they lost five of their last 7 in 2012 and finished 8-8. But, yes, it only makes sense that a 30-year-old future first-ballot HOF is much better than a second-year QB

Probably a little of the latter, But Mann has NFL experience, so he's not just an extra leg in camp.

Yes it would. But don't get caught up in who is the second TE just yet. Washington will play and he is a better receiving threat than Gentry. And he is having a good camp.

I agree with you on Rudolph being number 3.  If that is the case why bring in a number four to take away reps from the others?  injury?  trade bait? all the above?

Because Rudolph is on a one-year deal and if Tanner Morgan shows enough development, he could be the No. 3 QB next year. That's why

There is no comparing Pickett to Ben in my opinion. A rookie Ben Reothlisberger in the same situation last year with that team, they make the playoffs. Easily! Not saying Pickett won’t be great, but no comparison!

There's a chance, but it's not good one. For every catch he makes, he drops one. Coaches don't like to see that
