Gerry: for all of the criticism of Cam, what do you think of Omar Khan giving a $13.4 million roster bonus to a player that even last year had one more career hold-in than playoff win?  Further, if Cam is telling the truth that he told them in February that he wanted a new deal, they still paid that bonus in March.  This gives Cam a lot more leverage than he would have if he just had to get his pay in game checks.

That bonus has nothing to do with leverage on Cam's part. He has another due next year, too. If anything, it gives the Steelers leverage because they can cut him and not have to pay next year's bonus.

You always bring up Najee’s thousand yard seasons.  Should 59 yards a game  at 3.9 yards per carry really be a benchmark in a 17 game season?

17 solo tackles, 12 assists, and 1.0 sack in 9 playoff games. On top of that, they gave up 300 yards rushing last playoff game vs Baltimore. Sell me the idea to give sCam more money.

Gerry, How many rb's do the Steelers usually carry on the 53 man roster?  I was impressed with what I saw of Lew Nichols last Saturday, but it seems he faces an uphill battle to stick because of the 3 backs ahead of him.  Is he much of a special-teamer?

Good morning Gerry. Last week you answered a question about letting Warren go next year, by saying if they let Harris go after 4 consecutive 1000 yd seasons they would. My question is do you think it is still a big deal to get a 1000 yd season in 17 games?  IMO  it’s not that significant any more. It averages 59 yds per game. Not a big deal. Your thoughts?  Thank you

I have appreciated your work for years, thank you. Just curious where you stand concerning the Steelers colors controversy. Some of your coworkers and many in the media still say “black and yellow.“ The Steelers and the NFL both list “black and gold.“ Even Home Depot paint chart says Steelers gold. Most of us lifelong Steeler fans cringe when they hear black and yellow. Thanks again.

Good Morning Gerry,  What's the over/under that Aaron Rodgers doesn't get past the 2nd game without injury? How can ANY NFL team with a brain bet on the nonsense notion that a 41 year old QB in today's NFL can withstand the rigors of playing? Seems silly to me.

Gerry- have there been any noticeable changes with training camp, or elsewhere, focused on this team not collapsing at the tail end of the season? Poor coaching seems to be an equal factor along with poor play. Too much emphasis on banging around in the preseason?

Ex-Steelers like Troy, Ben, the Bus, etc. seem to have carried their love of the black and gold into retirement. But I think a lot of that is because they enjoyed so much success winning Super Bowls. It feels to me like Heyward is finding life with the Steelers exhausting and is ready to move on. I don't think he's bluffing. But you know him better than anyone here. Please share your thoughts.
