Why didn’t they put Howard on IR and keep one of the guys they cut?  Are they saving that spot thinking they’ll sign someone from the outside?  If so, why wouldn’t they just cut someone else if they do sign someone like that?

Seems like in some cases they went for youth where there were close competitions, LB and Punter, but not so much w DBs. Will our DBs have the legs to play man as envisioned?

Skylar Thompson gave Steeler fans some things to cheer about but, a closer look at who were in coverage during the big completions leaves some questions of how he would possibly perform against 1st string Ds in the regular season. A defender for the Panthers who gave up a touchdown has had 2 passes defensed in 3 years of NFL. He has spent most of his time on the practice squads. It’s preseason.

Hi Gerry, Payton Wilson was on player I though popped off the screen in preseason. I would like to see him use that speed on more inside blitzes. Do you think he will be given more opportunities to do that this year?

Has the NFL largely abandoned the Rooney Rule?  The Rule doesn't appear to be enforced at all.

How do you want it enforced? You can't tell team who to hire, just who needs to be interviewed.
