Hurleman could be back. Clark wasn't going to be the starting safety. Just a backup. Juan Thornhill is the other safety, but when they are playing their base defense Ramsey will be the other "safety."

What are reasonable expectations for the Steelers’ offense this season with no proven RBs, a lack of a quality number 2 WR, and a 41 year old QB that hasn’t played in a game yet for this team?

Hey Gerry, do you think the Steelers path to their next Super Bowl is better served by 1 and done in the playoffs this year (or even a loss in the second round) or a losing season and better draft position? Seems like at least four other teams will be looking for QBs and a high number of Steelers playmakers are already over 30. I’m not sure I see much of a fast track either way tbh. Thanks -

Getting to the second round of the playoffs shows you are not that far away, so I'm going to guess that might be the better path. You can always trade for better draft position

They are looking at Austin as the No. 2 WR, but Wilson is going to be used.

Gerry, although I think the team does need a WR2 if we properly utilize our two TEs, it should work. I remember in 2012 Gronk and Hernandez were virtually impossible to stop. Maybe a cut WR isnt necessary at this point.

Gerry, just want to say glad the steelers try hard every year to give the fans a good product. All the fans that say another 10-7 year don't know what its like to have the season over before Halloween. Ill take that every time over a tankd season which guarantees you nothing in the next draft. plenty of teams miss on a top ten QB.
